  1. First Lieutenant Andrew K. Stern, 24, of Germantown, Tennessee, died September 16, 2004, from injuries received due to enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California. I love you brother and never forget the sacrifice you made that day.
  2. DM Bullard is the only custom leather holster I've owned. It was excellent! I had the bodygaurd, worn about 4 O'clock. I sold it with the gun as it wouldn't fit anything else. I will own another soon. He now has a lot of "In Stock" holster that ship immediately. Others take 16-20 weeks
  3. I've always been broke. The sale format has no bearing on my ability to purchase, or lack there of
  4. Go to forums->TGO Trading Post (archive only)->TGO Classifieds. This will open a link in your web browser. It's pretty simple, most just don't know how to get there. Or if you change the setti ga it will even open the link inside the app itself, which is what I use most.
  5. I agree that the constant conversations in 'for sale' threads kept them bumping and kept the highly sought after items in front of buyers eyes. I think if people would use and browse the sale threads now, they would work just fine. I think a lot of guns were sold to non-active members who just stopped in to see the sale ads but don't participate in discussions. Those guys probably don't spend much time sorting through lots if pages of ads. Now that we have a bump option in the classifieds I think that will help.
  6. Where did you get them? Brand specific?
  7. Nice!! Who did you decide to use or the transfer?
  8. Most commercial and LEO helicopter pilots are former military. Helicopters are expensive to fly so it's hard to accumulate flight hours needed for those jobs without being taught on the government dime. He'll be well equipped for a life of flying if he so chooses. Remember state troopers and most large county Sheriffs dept have at least one helicopter and a couple dedicated pilots.

    Confused

Can we at least stop saying anus!
  10. First off how'd you get the rifle on the plane? If you shoot, from a stationary point, at the instant the plane passes they will travel side by side until the bullet looses energy and falls. What if you are in the cockpit and shoot towards the tail. That means in relation to the earth the bullet would be standing still, again assuming the bullet and plane are traveling at exactly the same speed.
  11. NATO pussies don't want to hurt anyone during a war. I think we should use rubber bullets from here on out.
  12. I think Zimmerman will eventually walk. I believe he is an aggressive person that actively sought out people during his neighborhood watch duties. He called 911, 46 times, prior to Treyvon. But all that said I don't think he's guilty of 2nd degree murder, or even manslaughter. I also heard that the original investigation from the Sanford police recommended a manslaughter charge and the DA didn't think there was enough evidence to convict. Then steps in the "Special Ed" prosecutor who throws out 2nd degree.
  13. A forensics expert who read the actual autopsy said that it's believed due to unburnt powder on Treyvon the gun was between 2&6 inches away falling in the intermediate range.
  14. Seems of charges are filed, the guy who forced his way into his friends home should be charged.
  15. Exactly. If it helps y'all sleep at night to vote Paul, then go ahead. I think for every Paul vote on this forum there is at least 2 ABO votes
  16. I use 230 gn Winchester White Box FMJ for target practice. I've even used Tula but it makes cleaning a pain as its pretty dirty. I use Hornady FTX 230 gn for defense. I shot about 60 rnds of FTX to make sure it was reliable and haven't shot any since. I store only FMJ in bulk since I've started reloading. The way I see it, FMJ is effective just not as much as hollow points. Hell the Military uses only round ball ammo, so it must be at least moderately successful.
  17. Brand new Springfield TRP 1911 $1050. Austin's in Oak Ridge.
  18. Nevermind, I read it correctly this time. Piston Rings. With major repairs I'm hesitant to use some smaller shops that may due just fine, buy I prefer a nice well presented shop, and that's what I found at A&I. But in the end I may end up paying more for the same job
  19. No I didn't. However a scheduled service for an 08 Mercedes is ridiculous. We were charged over $400 in knoxville, and A&I charged $100 for the same service. It wouldn't hurt to get an estimate. What's your major malfunction?
  20. Right, but not in this thread. So I didn't get the " here we go again". He should have said "well this is new"
  21. What do you mean, he was giving the store a compliment.
  22. I've used American & Import autos off w market in Johnson City, Tn. http://www.americanandimportautorepair.com/ I'm not sure how they compare price wise, but they treated me well and did good work in our Mercedes.
  23. I'm sure there will be plenty of embellishment, but hopefully will stay true to the story somewhat. Kind of like Wyatt Earp vs Tombstone. Both good but the first is more factual.
  24. Yeah yeah. Can't edit typos once submitted
  25. As a born and raised West Virginian I have always loved this story and found it intriguing. The History Channel had a 3 day mini-series stating Kevin Costner and Bill Paxon. It looks good, but I'll tune in to see.
