  1. Yes if it was airborne the infection rate would be significantly higher. If you don't believe that that's fine. Again you can believe what you want. I have read numerous things. None of which have any evidence that Ebola is transmitting any differently thank it did in the 70s when it was discovered. There are only 2 cases of infection in the US Both of which had direct contact with diarrhea filled diapers. If it was or is airborne there would be many more infections simply die to the fact that they are treating it as a direct contact. Anyone removing hazard suits would be at risk, you would have to decontaminate the suit before taking it off. That simply isn't the case. And that's enough for me to believe in the ACTUAL science. So many people have an utter distrust for the .gov that they make shit up just to be at odds with them. I certainly don't trait Obama or his czar but the scientists who know Ebola aren't writing a new manual on its transmission
  2. If it was airborne there wouldn't be anyone left alive in Africa. Sneezing and exhaled breath are still considered close contact infection. I've seen no credible source of anyone that says it's truly airborne. So yes it is about what people want to believe
  3. It's been explained. He is the safety protocol supervisor. He isn't suited up because it obstructs his view. He is observing those who are contacting the patient while he is at a safe distance. He is trained to not make contact and has a suit ready if a situation were to warrant him putting it on. He observes the transfer of potentially contaminated material in biohazard containment bags and then boards the plane. Regardless of what people want to believe, this disease isn't airborne, keeping a distance from infected patient is a perfectly reasonably safety measure. I read a story if how reporters in west Africa are safer NOT wearing suites because the potential contamination when removing it is high. It's better to not wear the suit and keep you distance from anyone who might have the EBOLA and basically don't touch anything and disinfect continually.
  4. I heard today also that it's not communicable until the patient has a high grade fever of 104. The nurse on the plane only had a low grade. I guess time will tell if that's true or not.
  5. Wow, I'm sorry you had such an ordeal, but glad your improving. We'll give thanks and continue to lift you up in prayer
  6. Well these nurses are changes diapers full of diarrhea, and exposed to biohazard risks much higher than sitting near someone on a plane. So they're exposure risk is much higher. The transmission from stranger on the street to stranger on the street is controllable through proper sanitation practices.
  7. Anyone remember 1 billion cut from CDC budget to fund Obamacare? It's like 6 Degrees of Obamacare.
  8. That shit is un-drinkable
  9. As the husband of a doctor, I think concern is justifiable. Seems that as people say it's not airborne means it's hard to get. That's not true. It seems pretty easy to transmit, especially since most don't know they have it. I think the biggest thing is to clean and sanitize your hands as often as reasonable. You never know when someone was in contact with the disease. I find it concerning that a nurse who was in direct care of the ground zero patient got on an airline.
  10. Ours has a "max" setting which eliminates the time delay. Yours should too I'd call ADT. When set in this setting is sounds immediately when it's triggered either door, window, or motion. It's set to max anytime we are sleeping. Also ours is cellular signal, no phone line. If the transmitter is damaged it's the same as braking in the door, the alarm will sound.
  11. I will (good Lord willing) never live without some sort of monitored alarm system. It may not scare the intruder away but I will know the instant someone is in the house. Plus I know police will be notified regardless of my ability to dial 911. If no one answers the phone call from security police are immediately dispatched. It's not the "full plan" but it's a great tool.
  12. Get some Dickle Barrel Select. Put it I a glass with a little ice...done!
  13. Excellence. Thanks for the recommend mike. This is a great glass of bourbon.
  14. Put $40 a month in an envelope for the next 6 months. Done!
  15. Ahh, after a while you just lose track. I remember hitting 1,000 didn't realize I'm almost to 5,000.
  16. Last 3 4473s I've filled out have been on a computer. It works fine. Just like a program install wizard. Just answer and click "next"
  17. I'm just not a fan of polymer lower. For $150 more you can get the same upper and a complete forged lower.
  18. Go to your account and check the email settings. Maybe not set to receive notices?
  19. Raven Concealment. I have 2. I cover with a shirt but that's optional.
  20. Possibly mean Nigeria
  21. I haven't read the book. I will definitely see the movie. I may wait and watch the movie first. To be honest after reading Lone Survivor, I was disappointed by the movie.
  22. Back near my home town across the Ohio river there is a town called Marietta. They had such a bad deer population in the residential downtown area that they sold bow permits. Of course this was sanctioned by the city but it can work. But it only takes one freak out to have a bad experience. If you get the go ahead...I'd do it.
  23. Didn't UK ban flights from infected countries? Maybe I'm wrong. Of course passengers could change flights in other countries.
  24. This^^^ Plus think about their general living conditions. They're exposure to bodily fluids is 10 times what a developed country's is regardless of how nasty people are. Riding with dead bodies in cars to transport them, very little clean water to wash. Definitely no cleansing products.
