    I'm torn G26 or G27

My G27 has been 100% reliable. The difference in ammo prices doesn't bother me. I'd prefer to spend a few more dollars for a second pistol than get two different barrels for the same pistol.
  2. I've yet to have a problem with any of the pistols I've owned other than AMT. I like my glock but would prefer to carry a pistol with more safety features.
  3. I've haven't replaced a magazine spring in over 30 years of shooting. I rotate the use of over 20 1911 mags. The only maint I give them is cleaning occasionally.
  4. The XD-40sc is a nice pistol. I've been shooting mine over two years without any problems from it. If you need something to snake gun duty, a ruger LCR might be a good choice.
  5. Biden is Obama's insurance policy
  6. It's time to find a better tire dealer.
  7. I count on my dalamtion or coonhounds to create a disturbance should it necessary. It's also unlikely an intruder would know the layout of my home in the dark. It will be an experience he will remember the rest of his (probably short)life!
  8. Don't confuse me with facts, it could ruin a good story.
  9. I haven't seen many options in .380. I'm not worried about over penetration from this weak a round, so i've used FMJ as they feed with less of a problem.
  10. The range I frequent, is usually at or near capacity. Some of the paper shooters spend several hours a month in practice. Isn't open carry similar to wearing a shoot me first vest?
  11. I've had an XD 40sc for about 2 years and it's been an excellent pistol. I'd prefer it over a 9, but I'm sure the XD9 is also a good pistol. I like having the grip safety, which some pistols don't have.
  12. Congrats on the pistol! Haven't fired that model but heard they are nice. While .380 hasn't been plentiful, it shouldn't be difficult to find a few boxes to become comfortable with the pistol.
  13. Other than the AR I recently bought, every one was inspected, cleaned and at the range within a week. The outdoor range I use is closed untill March.
  14. Americam Rifleman had an article on concealed carry .380s in Feb. Hope the PT709 will be a good carry gun, because the .380 pistols weren't impressive.
  15. Bad typing - it was $299 and 12 cu ft. Not sure of the model # as it didn't have any manual.
  16. I bought this model at Lowes last month for $299. It was difficult for me to unload from my suv and get it into a closet without assistance, but I'm not young. Several rifles, pistols and a few thousand rounds of ammo and it's full.
  17. Time at the range will usually produce a better shooter than a more expensive pistol will.
  18. The difficulty in finding ammo is one of the reasons I don't carry a .380. It would not be worth it for me reload this caliber, as I wouldn't fire it often.
  19. Depending on weather, Ultra CDP II, XD-40sc or G27
  20. I've had an Ultra CDP II for about two years. It's an excellent pistol and one of my favorite to carry. At the distances likely to be seen in self defense, I shoot it as accurately as a 5" 1911. Having read that some had problems with the Ultra and other 3" 1911s, I got several magazines from Wilson Combat. I've never had a problem with this pistol.
  21. I'm another owner of a G27 and XD-40sc. Both are dependable and fun to shoot. I may be a little more accurate with the XD but the difference is small.
