I'm currently using an IWB from Wilson Combat.  It's one of several that I've worn that do the job reasonbly well.

Congrats on the garand.  I got one made in 54-56 a few months ago.  The ammo from CMP has worked well in mine.

From past experience, it's much easier and cheaper to get a permit, than to pay the legal expenses for not having it. :-\   Actually the class and permit in TN costs me more than the court expenses for carrying w/o permit in TX.  I know I would not be likely to be that fortunate if it happened again.

.....Least fun gun I've ever shot.   I've found the LCP to be a nice pistol for the purpose I purchased it for.  I carry it at times that I would likely otherwise be unarmed.  It gets fired for practice, to accomplish it's role as a back up, but not as a range pistol.

I don't see a problem.  If you want/need something, you pay the price necessary to obtain it.    I'd like a new Ford truck for about $3500.  There isn't a dealer that will sell one at that price, are they all scalpers?
