I have had the Shield and the 43. I may be willing to give a slight edge to the Shield. My advice to people if you can't shoot both before buying is to buy whichever one you find cheaper.

There is some good advice here in the previous post. While I am not a banker, I am married to one. Trying to live debt free is a lucrative goal. I have heard mortgage interest is nothing lost and nothing gained. You don't need to pay significantly extra on your home if you have car loans. Those should almost always be payed off first. There are actually several reasons as to why you do that. Now you should have an interest rate of no more than say 4.5%. While it is a small percent, you should be able to write off mortgage interest and a house will not depreciate like possessions with wheels. In the event of a disaster your home can be more easily protected in bankruptcy court. Some people will even be in a situation where owing money on a home can protect it from being lost in a civil trial.

I don't know if this will make sense to you, but I know a fair amount about axles and differentials but enough to know that it is not worth learning to repair them. Differentials are extremely complicated to do right. Ironically, it isn't expensive to get them repaired. You don't need a mechanic; you need a mechanic specializing in axles and differentials. I know a few guys who can repair most issues with differentials for less than $500 no matter what may be wrong with it. However, it may be possible to source a drop in replacement differential but it isn't all that easy in the front of your GM.

I have seen several agencies trade in Sigs that never got issued. I mean they still had the paper grip sleeve on them when they traded them. I know of a few guys issued duty weapons who just took them home and put them in a sock drawer because they preferred their own weapon too. Then you have guys like me that shoot the absolute living piss out of their duty weapons.

I would say without a doubt those are police trade ins. It is a very good deal but it's not uncommon to find them at that price. The DAK trigger is a love or hate type action. People that are not use to a da/sa Sig trigger often love the DAK as do those that are not used to firearms. The whole reason many of these departments have switched to the DAK is because so many times on an attack course or stress course officers hit the wrong lever to decock, or worse they holster a cocked handgun. It's a brilliant design and actually allows the gun to fire if someone is short stroking the trigger. It does take some getting used to though. The good news is the handgun is not stuck as a DAK; it can be converted, but it is not cost effective.

I tend to carry at least one S&W if not two. My 342 Airlite sees a lot of time as does the 642 Airweight. For the first time in a long time I have been carrying an all steel 60-no dash.the .357s rarely get carried.

The issue was resolved with the new springs and a new hammer return block.

The TGTFO are not distracting. During the day they are a little bit better than others but not to where I like them all that much better. My only gripe with them are they are a lot larger than others and the front sight could be more recognizeable. It seems all night sights have a front sight like the rear unless you mix colors. For that reason I wish that I had XS big dots.

I have three sets of night sights within my gun collection. Trijicon, True Glow TFOs, and Siglites on my duty weapon. Honestly there isn't a huge difference in any of them. The Siglites may be the brightest but that is actually tough to call. The TGTFO may be a little easier to see during the day.

I saw two bad, new Glock mags a few years back, and obviously the ten round single stacks were notorious for being defective out of the box. The ten round Glock 19 magazines I believe still give people trouble till this day.

I have used Unique and it works just fine. Power Pistol is probably the best I have used though. People say there is little room for error, but that is not true. Since 40 is a high pressure round you only see high pressure load data. I can, and often do, load powder fart .40s&w loads. My 770fps 180 gr loads are unbelievable accurate and soft shooting. I don't use a bulge buster but if I feel like the case is bulged and suffering from Glock Belly I set it to the side with others like it to run further into the resizing die without a shell holder. I then tap it out through the top without the decapping pin in the die. But sometimes I just toss bulged cases in the trash. If it is a visible bulge I toss it anyway.

We bought my FIL one a few years back when they were on sale at Sportsmans Warehouse for that price. Honestly, with the 45lc it is a pretty good shooting gun and never misses a beat. It's just typical Taurus gripes of rough edges and uneven finish. All the .410 shells we have tested penetrate poorly and many have had weak primer strikes. Some of the premium .410 shells like the pdx will only penetrate one side of a pumpkin or melon at more than 7 yards. IMO, with shot shells it is only suitable for use as a snake gun; with .45LC I wouldn't have a concern using it for home or self defense.

There is a combination of things to keep in mind here, and I am no means an expert but the Marlins are now more affordable. I recently bought a Glenfield 30a that still had the 1977 price tag of $237; that was a crap ton of money then. However, I think the issue lies in Remington quality suffering around the late 90's also. I even hear some say the quality has improved once again, and I often hear some say the last of the true JM Marlins may have quality issues as well.

You will like the Glock holster. If you really want it to sit close to the body run the belt backwards through it like I did with this modified Galco. I don't have a picture of the Glock holster this way but it works just as well.

There will not be a DA present for city court. They can proceed without the officer unless his synopsis raises questions or you have questions for the officer. Most of the time the officer will be there because he or she will have an entire docket one day once every other month.

I never experienced that while shooting the original to be perfectly honest.

I used the Jak Slide and kind of like it. I gave it to a friend after I found a few holsters I like better. I know I mention this a lot, but why not save $40 and try a Glock Sport Combat holster.?

Those few places that have laws banning detectors will often have radar detector detectors for alerting to their use. We borrowed one just for seeking out commercial vehicle drivers with them. When we purchased a radar drone we gave the detector detector back. The radar drone transmitted a K band frequency for a couple of miles. It did not detect speed, it only transmitted a frequency. We intentionally did this to slow traffic in a construction zone. Once we had that we encouraged radar detectors.

Is this for city court or general sessions? Regardless you should have an opportunity to call and plead guilty with an opportunity to just pay over the phone. All of this assuming that is what you wanted to do. Unless you have to take off work, and it cost you money to go to court, I advise showing up for the court date and plead not guilty. The most it generally cost you is what the ticket would have cost anyway, especially if this is a city magistrate that is appointed. A $50 fine and your court cost is generally the max for Tennessee. Sessions court however is not limited to the $50 fine. I do not know of a maximum on court fees. I know one city in TN has one over $200, but most are around $100. As for your radar detector not giving you a warning there are several probabilities, but we can not rule out the possibility that the officer was not using a speed measurement device. He would be committing perjury by saying that he did when he didn't of course. Officers can write a ticket without confirming speed but it is highly discouraged. More sophisticated speed measurement devices such as Ka band radars are not as easily detectable even if you have a Ka band detector. Some field studies I was a part of ten years ago showed angles and window tint effect radar detector performance. As well, if he was using his device properly it didn't have time to give a warning before you were targeted and he released the button. We call this feature instant on. The waves go out and return too fast to often get detected. Laser is a completely different animal, but he would have checked Lidar instead of radar. I will say this: If the officer saw your radar detector it is probably the deciding factor for you getting a ticket over a warning. I have told numerous speeding violators, "I was going to give you a warning but I see that your radar detector must have already given you a warning or two." In all honesty, Officers have concluded that there is only one reason a person choices to have a radar detector; that is that they like to speed. Be safe and best of luck with contesting.

I saw a picture of the Verizon Store in question, and I did not see a posting. I can not say for certain that one did not exist. As for the parenting, I actually see a lot wrong in this situation besides the obvious.
