  1. LMAO. these threads have been great lately. I miss Strel, he would have made them more interesting.
  2. that's exactly what I do. It stays in my trunk 24/7 and when I go hiking I just pull a few things out of it to reduce weight and add what I need for the hike. It's a little smaller than what I was expecting but has plenty of space if you are just doing a short hike. If you wanna come by and look at it sometime let me know. I'm not far from you. If you want to order directly from Maxpedition you can use the coupon code sootch for 10% off their website. But you will save money if you just order from ebay. That's what I did.

    Got nailed

I take back what I said about not getting stopped for my tint. Almost forgot that I did get stopped 1 time really late at night in Lenoir City. The LEO stopped me because of my tint and then he used a little thingamabob to tell him how dark it was. I'm pretty sure he just wanted a reason to stop me to see if I was drunk or something. He let me go without a ticket.
  4. Really like my Maxpedition Condor II. Check it out.

well my window tint is illegal but I'm not taking it off. I love the privacy and it looks great. I've been stopped numerous times and they have never mentioned the tint. KB, do you guys enforce the tint laws much?
  6. I also saw a very clean cut guy who was openly carrying in West Town Mall. The mall was packed and yet I seemed to be the only person that noticed him. Surprising since that place is posted "no weapons". Not legal posting but definitely frowned upon.
  7. I wouldn't pay $400 for one that age. Not when I could order 1 with my GSSF discount for $425. I'd offer him $325

I'll call that a tie just because it's a much better story! Thank you for your service!
  9. they just couldn't believe they were in the company of Donald Sutherland!!
  10. I OC on occasion depending on my mood and where I'm going. I have never had an issue. Places include-gas stations, wal-mart, Wendy's, Smoky Mtns, Big South Fork, and other places. It's amazing how many people don't even notice.
  11. title should be changed to read "oops I shouldn't have carried to a place I wasn't supposed to"

I got pulled over for going around 110 in a 55 zone. I-40 westbound at the Gallaher View exit. NO TICKET. If anyone can beat that, I'll buy you lunch.
  13. I don't mind the liner lock at all.
  14. I like my Crossbreed as well. But it's far from the best. Take a good look at the holster and you can tell that the quality is good but not great. I'd say the Crossbreed is about $30 overpriced. Again, I like mine and it's very comfortable but definitely not the best. I think the MTAC is a better choice based on what I've seen.
  15. calling 911 is a great start, but as we all know when seconds count............ So when someone, who is physically capable of helping, just stands there and does nothing but call 911 they might as well have turned a blind eye.
  16. I'm sorry to hear about your health. And since your health prevents you from rendering aid, then I completely understand if you have to hang back and be a good witness. However, I still stand by my original post that anyone(who is physically capable) should not just stand by and do nothing. I think you would agree.
  17. you guys are all saying this is a "handgun carry" issue. It's far more simple than that. It's doing the right thing.
  18. Greg you seem like you have your mind made up so this thread could go on for pages and pages with no progress. The situations you are describing are very far-fetched and have nothing to do with situation in the original post. If a man wearing a Halloween mask attacks a woman in a parking lot the right thing to do would be to at least see if the woman needs help. It will become real clear, real fast, if the woman needs help or if it's just.......(insert crazy unrealistic situation here). Now, once again I'm not saying you should charge in like Rambo with gun drawn but something must be done. Doing nothing makes you just another sheep in the crowd.
  19. this^^^ push forward with strong hand while having a firm grip on the slide with weak hand. If this doesn't work then I'm not sure what else to suggest. Let us know if this does the trick.
  20. I have one as well and the more I wear the the more I like it. When I first got it, retention was way to tight to the point where I could not even draw my G19 one handed. I fixed that issue by heating up the holster with a hairdryer. Retention is now perfect. I wear mine OWB only and it still conceals very well. I also have the IWB loops but I've not tried them yet. I find OWB to be far more comfortable especially while driving. Since purchasing this holster I hardly use my Supertuck anymore. The only thing I wish was different would be the length of the holster. It's probably fine for IWB but when I wear it OWB it's hard to keep the end of of the holster concealed. I realize though that it is probably not possible to change the length because of the way it's designed. If it were not for the length there would be no way to tell I'm carrying. This holster does not print at all if I wear the right clothing. The only time you can see it is if I bend over and the end of the holster becomes visible. Overall, you can tell Tony puts a lot of time and effort into his holsters. I may try the IWB loops and report back.
