What should you do if someone is calling for help?
White Goodman replied to jgradyc's topic in General Chat
It really depends on the situation. If someone would have come to the aid of George Zimmerman he wouldn't be on trail for his life and Treyvon would still be alive. Sometimes "being a good witness" just isn't enough. Because of lawsuits we've become a society of pussies terrified about what might happen. Again, it depends on the situation. -
Don't feel too bad. Last year I almost blew a hole through my front door because I was convinced someone was getting ready to kick it in. Turns out it was the wreath my girlfriend hung on the door. Through the peep hole it looked like someone's shoulder trying to stand off to the side. my GF "It's the wreath you big idiot"

Very nice. I fondled a Gen 4 21 today. I'll probably pick up a Gen 4 at some point.

I buy all my stuff from here http://www.thereadystore.com/ Free shipping over $100. You should look at Mountain House or Saratoga Farms instead unless you are just dead set on MRE's. http://www.thereadystore.com/mre/case-of-mre/mre-self-heating-emergency-meal-case-of-12 http://www.thereadystore.com/food-storage/brand/saratoga-farms?food_type=110

Something tells me he will be looking for a new job in another county. -
Murfreesboro DUI Checkpoint Video Making its Way Across the Web
White Goodman replied to wewoapsiak's topic in General Chat
It's obvious that the young man's intent was to make a point with his recorder but that doesn't excuse the actions of the officers. They illegally searched his vehicle and acted like a**holes. -
You're the one getting worked up over this. I was just asking you to explain your position and you went into some rant about OJ Simpson. I realize people get away with crimes every day because of a lack of evidence. I was asking you to tell me what makes Zimmerman guilty and you apparently can't do that. I admit that going into the trial I thought he was innocent but I was also willing to accept the fact that there may be evidence we dont know about. Now I'm convinced the state never had a case.

Illinois House and Senate passes CCW!
White Goodman replied to White Goodman's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I am not surprised at all. This bill may end up being useless by the time it's passed. I think Elliot was right. -
I wasn't suggesting anything. I understand you feel he is guilty(and it's fine to hold that opinion) but I'm trying to understand why you are convinced he will be found innocent if you are also convinced he is guilty. What facts in the case do you think the state will have trouble proving that also lead you to believe he is guilty?

I'm thrilled. I just moved to a new city that is "rural" enough for the Wal-Mart to sell guns. I didn't see any AR's but they had a huge selection of other rifles. Still no ammo though.
-
I wouldn't do it unless you just don't care for the gun and want to rid yourself of it. Guns have gone up in price, I haven't seen a new Glock here in Florida for anything less than $575-600.

Good SHTF Survival Fiction Books
White Goodman replied to plank white's topic in Survival and Preparedness
I just finished book 4 and I'm anxious to read book 5. It's a great series. -
I'm generally on the side of LEO's because they are faced with situations I would never want to be in. In this scenario however, it seemed like the dog wasn't hell bent on attacking the officers and could have been handled better. The entire situation sucks and I hate seeing that poor dog suffer.

I agree it doesn't make sense but look it up. I've read several articles that break down the costs, it's quite shocking honestly.

There is a local station here covering the case daily. They have a few legal commentators discuss every afternoon and they were absolutely blown away by how stupid the State was today. The defense won big time today. The lead investigator said that not only did she believe GZ was telling the truth, she also said she had basically nothing to charge him with. Another cop(different investigator?) said he felt outside pressure to charge GZ. Every day that goes by looks better for GZ. Hell, the fact that the lead investigator believed his story tells me he is innocent. Correct me if I'm wrong but are cops not trained to detect lying? If they think GZ was telling the truth that says enough for me.

TGO truckers, your opinion on new Fed laws for taking breaks
White Goodman replied to TMF's topic in General Chat
The new Kalifornia carb regulations are very interesting/scary as well. One of our carrier partners at work has already been fined $175K in CA. These new regulations will put the smaller guys out of business in CA. -
It's actually been proven that it's more expensive to execute someone than imprison them.

Had a very disturbing conversation last night
White Goodman replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
Haven't you heard? They don't need a weapon for that. Simply urinate or vomit and the bad guy will move on to another victim.
