One more hurdle was cleared yesterday as this passed the Senate. I get daily emails from TFA about this and they seem really dissatisfied with this bill but it doesn't seem that bad to me. They are unhappy with the parts in bold. "In 2020, Governor Bill Lee announced that he was going to file a “constitutional carry bill” in the Legislature. At the time, he stated “The Second Amendment is clear and concise and secures the freedoms of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms, … I am pleased to announce Constitutional Carry legislation today that will protect the Second Amendment rights of Tennesseans.” That bill was filed weeks later in 2020 and it was immediately clear that it was not real constitutional carry. Instead, it imposed limits on the rights of citizens to carry firearms by generally limiting the right to a) Tennessee residents b) who were at least 21 years old and c) it was limited only to handguns. That bill failed to pass in 2020 perhaps due to Covid. Governor Lee refiled his bill in 2021 as Senate Bill 765 (House Bill 786). It is one of 3 bills on this issue this year. It is not the most “constitutionally” compliant bill. As noted in prior reports, which are available on TFA’s News page, the Governor’s bill falls short of real constitutional carry. It is limited generally to those 21 and up and it prohibits carrying any firearms other than those that meet the statutory definition of a handgun under Tennessee law (not all handguns are “handguns” under Tennessee law)."

In the photos where is face isn't blurred he actually looks European. We know he's not Russian. He would have just yanked the firing pin out of his eye and splashed some vodka on it.

That has been happening for an entire year. Never underestimate how ignorant people are. It will not surprise me if we find out they were targeted for being Asian.

I could see how it could be viewed that way. If you don't want to get the vaccine, don't get it. I don't think you should be forced. Here is another example of irony I've been chewing on. The same people who in the past said that a business should have the right to make their own decisions(think the bakery/gay couple case), will completely disregard a stores sign on the front door requiring them to wear a mask. I see people ignore those signs constantly. There was an Asian restaurant in Texas that decided to continue their mask mandate and people were FURIOUS. They acted as though they had a right to eat there. People spray painted "Kung Flu" and "Hope you Die" on their windows. Who supports freedom to choose in that scenario?

It's ironic that many of the people concerned about what might be in the vaccine, will sustain themselves on junk food, fried food, soda, cigarettes and alcohol. Suddenly we have people concerned about their health in a country that really isn't healthy. I had a conversation with my neighbor Sunday who told me she was concerned about the vaccine right after she put out a cigarette. I guess I have a different view of what common sense is.

Well yes actually. I know we have a few doctors here and at least one nurse. But my point was that he claimed we should all shut up unless we are a doctor, then he proceeded to tell us how the vaccine isn't really a vaccine. So I'm curious to know if he is a doctor or just another guy on the internet.

I'm looking for steel targets that I can stick in the ground and have fun with that aren't too expensive. I see some good options on shootsteel.com but I want to make sure I'm not missing out on something better. Also, is 100 yards really the safe minimum for rifle rounds?

Haven't schools required children to get vaccinated for years now? I remember having to show proof of vaccinations when I enrolled at UT.

What was the reason for the gravel? Trying to keep dirt and debris out of the pipe?

I keep mentioning this to people. I want life to return to normal and the easiest way for that to happen is if we vaccinate a large percentage of the population. I'm young, and low risk for covid doing anything serious to me, but I'm still getting the shot.

Yes we will do that. The new wall will also have drains built into it which will help.

It looks like they graded it fairly well. The front yard is sloped downhill with the house built into the side of the hill but before water runs into the house they graded a ledge that stops and then diverts it to the sides(in theory). I was feeling comfortable but now I'm starting to get cold feet. I really don't want to have to rip out the sheetrock in the basement to deal with mold. I'm still waiting on the report so I'll wait to see what it says and might order the mold test.

You said what I was thinking. He didn't have that fight to live mindset that you see in some of these videos. At this point, he was almost physically unable to sit up, and I don't think it was because he was shot. I've mentioned this once before too. Physical fitness matters.

I would watch it. I actually think he would have no legal issues if he had continued firing. The threat wasn't over.

Yes he recommended a French drain on the other side. There is a big retaining wall there that the owners are tearing down and having rebuilt. The old one had a huge crack in it. I may add a french drain to both sides.

My money would be on one of these in yellow. That's who we need.

That was my concern too. I asked the inspector and he pointed out that if you stop the water, the mold has nothing left to feed off. Again, I was surprised at how he didn't think this is a major issue so I guess I'll take his word for it. There was some discoloration on the carpet right against the baseboard but it was very minor. Also, it looked like some of the sheetrock had been replaced at some point.

I'm sure I'll get flamed for this, but I don't think calling our Senators is going to help on this one. Neither TN Senator will vote for this. We need a few moderate Democrats to break from the group. I think there is a chance but I could be wrong.
