I just saw on his profile he was only 65. That's way too soon. @MacGyver I thought his wife had been released from the hospital. Is that not the case?

This is horrible news. I'm so sorry to hear this.

I was comparing my YTD returns with Edward Jones to my returns in my Fidelity account that I manage. The funds I picked with Fidelity(mostly index funds) are outperforming the funds that my Edward Jones person picked. So I'm paying them more to earn less.... I'll be firing her in the coming days.

I really need to fire my Edward Jones girl and invest on my own. She's been nearly useless.

Trout Fishing Information from TWRA
White Goodman replied to Randall53's topic in Hunting and Fishing
While I've never personally visited this store, or fished for Trout, I love following these guys on social media. Tellico Plains is a great area for Trout fishing for anyone interested. https://www.tellicooutfitters.com/ -

Sig MPX- Light primer strikes
White Goodman replied to White Goodman's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Ha! Shocking I know! That picture I posted above is what the new one looks like apparently. Mine doesn't have that spring. The entire bolt carrier group is different too. I really wish the would just send me the new parts. -
Sig MPX- Light primer strikes

Just got off the phone with Sig. The employee seemed surprised to hear about the firing pin. They have completely redesigned the the BCG and firing pin and don't have any spare parts they can send me. The only option is to send back the upper on their dime. Apparently the repair shop has the parts to fix it and send it back. He even said it was an overkill solution to a simple problem. Hopefully the new design is an improvement and the gun will be reliable after this. -
We found some toys in the past that were a water bottle wrapped in leather. So they still get the crunch sound without the fear of them eating plastic. A quick google search isn't pulling them up but if I find them I'll report back.

That's you right? Impressive beard. I let mine grow out during COVID and it just starts to look terrible. I've yet to go full mountain man.

Yes it is. That confirms what I thought. That post with the serial # must have been wrong. Apparently they changed the firing pin at some point and included a spring. I think I'm outside the 5 year warranty so we'll see what they say. -

@MacGyver i know you have an MPX. Do you know if mine is a Gen 1 or 2? I'm getting conflicting info online. I thought it was a Gen 2 but doesn't have a serial number on that time frame. -

Pretty sad for only 1,500 rounds(likely less). Most guys reported them breaking around the same round count. Calling Sig now. -

I found this picture on sigtalk that shows a broken one up top and the new one below. I'm thinking mine looks closer to the top picture. Anyone else agree? -

It's hard to tell but I'm thinking the tip might be broken off. What do you guys think? It's very course too. I would expect the metal to be smooth. -
We've been here before. This too shall pass. Saturday was the first time in 2020 that I've shot. I'm conserving what I have.

Was it negative? Are the antibody tests accurate now? Last time I had looked into them I heard they were not very accurate.

You may be right. Our friend had it and she didn't lose her sense of smell or taste. I don't recall having a fever either though. If I did have Covid, it was the most mild illness I've ever had. About a month ago we went out for beers with a friend. He ended up getting COVID and we didn't. It does make me wonder if my wife was right. His symptoms were so minor he wasn't even convinced he had it but got tested anyways.

Funny that the most expensive gun I've ever owned hasn't been my most reliable. -
I know some won't agree with us but I agree with you. Being sick (with anything) stinks but I'm tired of thinking about it. Part of me wants to get it over with. My wife and I just got back from Mexico 7 days ago and it appears(so far) we managed to not get Covid. We took as many reasonable precautions as we could. Apparently flying is safer than one would think. My wife is convinced we had it the first few days of February when returning from New Orleans because we had all the symptoms except for loss of taste.

Sig MPX- Light primer strikes

No. It's had a few FTF over the years but never this. I've shot that 124 grain Blazer through it without issue in the past. -
I just got back from visiting my friend in Fentress County. We shot my MPX for a while until I started getting light primer strikes. I tried Blazer 124 grain and Geco 115. I then loaded them in my Glock and they fired without issue. Eventually I just got a click and didn't even see marks on the primer. A google search showed quite a few MPX owners saying the tip of their firing pin broke off. I've not had a chance to look yet. Anything else I should check? Never had this happen with any gun I've owned.
