  1. What?!?!?!? That did it, I'm outta here! JK.... I'll stay here, I'm already guilty by association. Actually, it's because I've never tried it. Their privacy policy looks better than FB and Instagram (one in the same) but I don't care for the 140 character limit and all the #@#@#@#@#. Don't need an account to go to their home page and see what's going on.
  2. Twitter says they use Google analytics. . 'nuff said. To me twitter looks like text messaging with a limit but with a bunch of pound signs, oops I mean hash tags followed by drivel.
  3. https://blog.twitter.com/2016/an-update-on-our-efforts-to-combat-violent-extremism 360k since the middle of last year. That's a lot.... I wonder what their definition of violence and extremist groups is....
  4. AAFES was great back in the "pre-WalMart" days. There wasn't much in Sumter, SC so shopping on base was cheaper than driving to Columbia. And in Germany, depending on the exchange rate, it was cheaper on base. (Besides, there was no point in buying 220v electronics or a PAL TV that would only work in Europe ) IMHO, with WalMart, Amazon, eBay, etc, I don't feel the need to go back.
  5. Yes. Do dumb things....just don't drive! I'm *told* that I did some dumb things while stationed in Germany (first exposure to real beer) but I had fun, no one got hurt, and I'm still alive.
  6. I'm thinking you should take it up with a higher authority. I'm sure *He* would love to hear your opinion. And besides, why do they even need this class? The white majority elected a black man for president twice, so doesn't that show they felt guilty?
  7. Since Instagram is owned by fakebook, how long do you think it'll be before that post is removed? Someone will find it offensive.
  8. No need to click on the pic. I see the ring on her finger. That's all I need to know. Moving on....
  9. I'm all over the place in my music too. I'll listen to old country (new stuff sucks), Jazz (Chick Corea, Dave Brubeck), Rock (old and new) and Indie-Folk/Rock (The National, Angus & Julia Stone, Daughter, Greg Laswell, Sarah Jaffe) and Alternative (Joy Division, Bauhaus, The Cure, Clan Of Xymox, Depeche Mode) Speaking of Depeche Mode, here's another band that put out great music up until Violator. Each album was better than the previous, but after Violator, they really changed. I think there was only 2 songs on "Songs Of Faith And Devotion" that were good (IMHO) Ultra really sucked. After that, I quit listening to them.
  10. I've noticed that with quite a few bands... the first 2-3 albums are great then they change their sound/style. I guess some bands don't know when they've hit the peak.
  11. It's different. Navigating around it takes some getting used to. Basically, it's a collection of groups that you join. Some you have to apply to. (you answer a few questions and the group owner will decide if you can join) You can start your own group but it won't show up in their search until you have at least 5 members. (like that makes sense) And now that they hid all those gun groups, you'd have to know someone that could invite you. As a new person, good luck. Also there's no news or sports that you can "follow" (such as NFL) like you do on FB. On the positive side, when I signed up, I didn't get my email flooded with spam like FB did. Who knows, maybe MeWe will change their policy and won't censor groups (after all, their motto is "We don't censor you" Ha!)
  12. Well that was short lived.... MeWe decided to hide all the gun groups. They claim it was done so that the children wouldn't find them , but they could find all the other "questionable" groups. If you wanted to join a gun group, you had to find someone that was in it so they could send you an invite. So I cancelled my account. When they asked why, I made my opinion known. Thought they'd be different but obviously not. I'll stick with the four forums that I'm on. That's enough for me.
  13. That's what it sounds like... one breaker for the dryer and water heater You never know... my old house had the central air hooked to the main breaker. Wasn't about to touch that. Called an electrician. Good thing because he found a few other issues in the panel.
  14. I think it depends on the state and if they even enforce it. When I lived in NY, I added a second tank to my Jetta (diesel) to run waste veggie oil. NY said it was legal but a guy in Illinois was slapped with some hefty fines by the state for burning non taxed fuel. Those days are over now that diesel isn't $4+/gal and it's a PITA collecting and filtering veggie oil.
  15. Here's a long shot... do you know a pilot? Get some AvGas! 100 octane, ethanol free, but it's not cheap. (about $4.75/gal) I remember years ago when I lived in Illinois, my local Amoco station sold racing fuel (102 octane, lead) it was about 3x the price of reg unleaded but it made a world of difference in my old 65 Mercury!
  16. Maybe this? https://www.amazon.com/Thermik-Handle-Rambler-Tumblers-Black/dp/B01A7VKQD2 or this: https://www.rticcoolers.com/shop/drinkware/tumblers/RTIC-30-Handle Don't know how flexible they are. Maybe they could be pushed further up if it covers the logo.
  17. https://www.yahoo.com/tv/the-walking-dead-season-7-trailer-1477819170308150.html No spoilers. Nothing new really.... first part is a flashback of sorts. Get to see Ezekiel. Looks like Enid got out of the closet.
