We are on the same page. They are blaming the gun so as to remove the evil tool by pulling the heart strings of the public. In the end the public will be at the mercy of the Government.   some quotes from Thomas Jefferson   When the people fear there Government there is tyranny : when the Government fears the people there is Liberty   The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.   The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.   Most bad government has grown out of too much government.

If this is in the wrong section sorry and move it were it fits best .   I would like someone to explain the theory that guns are evil and that thay are the problem by answering a few simple questions .   How can an evil gun become no longer evil because it is in the hand of a police officer ?   How can an evil gun become less evil because it is in the hands of the military ?   The only thing I see is the HAND of who it is in , but they want to ban a tool instead of looking at the individual . The problem does not lie in the legal owner and that is who they want to penalize . The recent shootings have happened after laws were already broken ! Do they think a few more laws will really matter !! But from past experience why would I expect the Government to fix anything . They never have before !!!   This is not meant to be a slam on any police or military personel .   As I see it you have an object that is nothing more than a tool with parts made up from various steel ,plastic and wood combinations and can do nothing on its own . These same people saying we the public don't need this or that , have no problem with the police having them . The police can't be everywhere and the only time we ever called them was about 20 years ago.    A car came on the property and drove out behind the garage ( my place of business at the time ) about 200 feet behind the house . This was about 1:00 A.M.  My daughter called the police while me with my shotgun , the wife with the AK and my son with the SKS went and met them as the car came out from behind the garage. They gave the excuse that they were lost , maybe true maybe not. After I informed them they had no business here and exchanged some more words , I let them go and never heard from them again . From time they pulled in to it being all over was probably less than 5 minutes .    All this happened and no cops yet. Some 20 minutes after we called I saw the officer drive by but he didn't stop. I do live in a rural area and would say that is going to probably be the normal responce time .    Again I am not complaining about the police but just pointing out that they can't be everywhere at once.

Please don't let the facts get in the way of a crisis . I wish they would point out that the AR is not an assault weapon . I bet Germany turned there weapons in because they trusted the Government .    In my opinion the second amendment has nothing to do with hunting and was written because we had just had to boot out the Government that had gone to far . The founding fathers knew if it could happen then it could happen again and without firearms you are wide open th a dictatorship . At that point in time , I am under the impression that our rifles were actually better than the British rifles.    Think about it , at that point in time , hunting was done by most everyone for food . We just need to enforce the laws that already exist . I personally believe that the current NFA is unconstitutional , and would like all NFA items be treated like every other firearm , (I know it will never happen and I have my tin hat shined up  .

No expert here , but I thought that NFA items are not included in any ban as they were already regulated to the point they are trying to get the rest . If at worst they make everyone do a NFA on AR's , ( I don't think it will happen ) yours would already be done .

It seems to be that way on everything . Gas canisters from both side in Colorodo.  Extra gas mask in the street .   The temple shooting started as 4 men , several witnesses said multiple shooters , but when it is all down in the end it is just one lone nut or patsy that normally dies so he can't be questioned .   Do your own research , come to your own conclusions but don't just take the Governments word on anything. They have there best interest at heart . NOT OURS !!!  Question everything they say .   If that makes me a conspiracy nut , then I will go shine my hat some more .  I am what I am ,and I believe what I believe. It is still America and that may one right I still have for a little longer.   Disgusting to me is the moments before the interview he gave . I have seen parents who had small children in that age group die from various reasons ( everything except murder ) and never have I seen any of them act like that . Most couldn't hardly talk for crying for weeks  , both the dad and mom . Getting ready to read the interview from a card in my opinion is a fake interview . I am not judging but simply saying that is not how I or anyone I have ever known would act.

  I do not believe the American people have ever been given the true facts about anything in my life time . From the majic bullet of 1963 that made multiple wounds , through 2 people and looks almost normal with just a slight deforming at the rear , to the most recent shootings . Oklahamoa City news reported bomb 2 & 3  being removed but in the end one bomb did all that damage. 9-11 has tons of things that don't add up as well . I can go on forever but to keep it as close to the point of this shooting , the facts again do not add up .    Reports of others in custody .The first reports I heard said the rifle was found in the car . All can be dismissed as rumor or a hurry to get a scoop . But I can grant you one thing . AS a father of 2 , If my child had been murdered like that I sure wouldn't be cutting up and laughing . The camera never leaves the man from laughing to getting ready for his fake speech .    When they refuse to release the true facts you create a breeding ground for said theories . I have worked for a local city Government and saw many times what happened a, and then what was reported . They seldom were the same. Sorry , but I don't believe anything that they tell me and only half of what I see . I feel this is another case of them telling us as a nation , only what they want us to hear and or believe. 

 I forgot to mention that the TSA also detained him at the airport for refusing to remove his shoes in Texas . He probably wasn't in the best of moods from that . Not that that changes anything . Just the bear had already been poked before he ever got to the show.    I wonder if Piers had him singled out on purpose ? Where is my tin hat ? The wife has hid it again .

  I have listened to Alex many times . He is best in small doses . He does get excited , and from what I have heard think he is right most of the time. I am not saying he done a good job of representing us. I think he has so much info and is trying to get it out in the little time he has.    As for the  Piers interviews ,Jesse did the best with Ted in at second. To me I think I would like to see Chuck Woolery on his show. Chuck does a very good video on You Tube .      But keep in mind that Alex has a ton of listeners . We need everyone to stand together including him and his listeners. Everyone appeals to a different crowd.    I am a semi tin hat person myself. I don't believe the Government ever tells us the whole truth . I can't buy the majic bullet of 1963 or anything that has happened since .  As for 9-11 , it is hard for me to believe that one of the hijackers passport survived and landed on the ground at ground zero . Another highjackers , plastic I D card was at the Pentigon and also survived the crash . Building 7 just falls in its tracks from a fire .  But that is what we are told  .   The story changes to much from start to finish. I am NOT saying the Government did it , I am saying that the evidence never adds up to me. Maybe they think we can't handle the truth. But by the Government trying to tell us this kind of bull and expecting us to believe it is what starts all the conspirac theories to start with .    It could have been better but I always heard bad publicity was better than no publicity .

Haste makes waste . Look at the hurried obamacare . The numbers I see are you are more likely to die from malpractice than a gun shot . Hopefully all the contact with the congress members and gun sales will send a message that they will notice.    I know all we just get an automated response , but if they got x number of emails and all of a sudden they now get 3 or 4 times as many it at least lets them know they NEED to see what we are saying. I don't have any faith in that they will , but at least we did our part .

If you put them in layaway , they should be yours , and not in stock by looking online. I would call and ask to make sure but the way most items work is when you put it in layaway it should be concidered sold and has to be taken out of stock or it could be purchased multiple times .   Having worked in retail , I have seen many problems with online orders and having an actual store together . We had a guy buy something online one time . Then he checked online and it shows it is out of stock at that location . He's mad and goes to the other store across town and is pitching a fit at my store. When we get him calmed down and figure out what he is mad about , we call and the other store, and it ready with his name on it waiting for him to pick it up . They only had one so when he bought it it changed the inventory to 0 and not in stock because it was sold .  I am pretty sure the layaway is working the same way .    I hope this helps but I am so often , not good at explaining what I want to say .  

 By few , I am refering to the last numbers I heard ,  4 million members of the 100 million gun owners . Roughly 4 % was the number I read .  To me that would be  "few". I would say I know more that are not members than that are members .  I am not trying to be dissagreable but just repeating what I had read . I believe also around 8,000 new members a day after the last shooting.

There is now a video on you tube that is titled  " Sign " by  RURdy41t  .  It is a video that addresses all the new gun bills and states that " We the people , will be watching there votes . It provides the link for the White house petition below . Just another way to be heard . I beleive they have to address anything that gets 25,000 signatures in 30 days .    I don't know that it will help , but I don't see that it can hurt . I would post a link to the video but I have not been able to figure out how.    

I am hearing of a national march on the state capitals , set for Friday the 8th of Febuary  . I have to agree that It should have been Saturday so people that work could be there .  

  The NRA needs to stand firm as well and and not compromise , before it can earn the respect of many gun owners again , including me . They lost me about 20 years ago .  I swore I would never join again and even with all this going on I can't bring myself to join again .  I have been to the website a half a dozen times but I just can't do it.  They let us down before , and I just can't feel good about supporting them. There is a reason that so few of the gun community are members .   " Shall not be infringed" does not sould like "compromise" to me . I see Gun Owners Of America is there . 

  I carried in my car for years at a place of business that said no guns on their property . Some hint was made about it one time and I told them any search of my vehicle would require a search warrant . No laws had been broken so go for it and get the warrant . That was the end of it .     I mean what options do you have ? With a carry permit are you going to park somewhere else and finish walking to work or just toss the gun in the ditch when you pull into work and hope it is there when you leave . My car is my property and it is none of there business what is legally inside the vehicle even if it is on their property .    They have the right to make their rules and I was willing to suffer the results from not obeying it. I thought , all this got settled a couple of years ago and it was now your business what was in your car . Did it get changed again and I missed it or did I misunderstand what happed a couple of years ago ? I guess now that I don't work , I haven't kept up with it . I also must admit that I don't listen to any news on TV because you just can't believe what the media says.  

When I was still working during the ammo buy of 08 after the election  , I would stop by early in the morning just after stocking. I could go back at lunch and the popular stuff was already gone most of the time. Get a conversation going and find out what days and time it comes in. The lady there got to know me by name and headed over to open the case when ever she saw me .

  It would be hard to say what to do when you don't know what is going to happen yet. I am not sure that a country as broke as this one will be able to get obamacare up and running let alone have the personel to get the info needed to grandfather the millions of guns that are going to fall in this group. I am sure that there will be a ton of guns that will be sent to the illeagal from now on status just like the ones that are still around from the NFA act of 1934 .     I personally think the original NFA is unconstitutional but that really doesn't mean much . It is sad to say but there are multiple bills that will be introduced such as the magazine bill that Diana DeGette is trying for . Not good either and wants to make every magazine non transferable if it is over 10 rounds .     I have sent emails and of couarse , gotten back the automated reply letters . Does it do any good ? I have my doubts , but I have always been called negative . The media has twisted the facts and lied to the uneducated non firearm community to the point I am not sure they can even realize the truth.    For me I am not sure what I would do if it passes . In my opinion ( again that doesn't mean anything ) it also would be another unconstitutional law that from the way I read we are not obigated to obey . Again  here is the main point . Are you willing to do the time and pay the fines for disobeying an unconstitutional law ?     What I will or will not do is best kept between me and my family . Anything said on this or any forum could just be used as evidence at a future time. There are so many options out there but who could blame anyone for selling everything they had right now but a wheel gun a single shot shotgun and the military bolt action rifle gramps had.  I mean with this booming economy , who coudn't have used the extra money , and top dollar at that, And who has complete records of who they sold everything to ?    Who could blame anyone for hiding what they have ? They bought it legally and if there is no paper trail leading back to them on it , then who knows he has it to start with . Some PVC pipe for weapons , vaccum bag system for food and the evil magazines can be put to rest some where in the yard or near by woods if you live in the country . That would be more shovel ready jobs than the current administration has created .    Non transferable " When I die , they can't be transfered to anyone " To me that translates to " While we were at the funeral , someone broke in and stole everything ". I mean , people knew we would all be gone to the funeral . Can't blame anyone for that either .    I  do not believe it will ever be possible to enact the bill as written but either way we have a tough road ahead of us. I beleive that any registration is a bad thing and will lead to confiscation at some time later on. I know I need to shine up my tin hat  , but I already admitted I am a negative person . We must stand up together both hunters and the black rifle crowd , to stop this before it gets passed . I would be amazed if something doesn't get passed . I am not sure as to what or how bad , but I think something will get passed and it will not have our interest at heart .    Now that I have had my rant for the day , I have to go to the doctor and I doubt if my blood presure reading will be good . Again let me say that no offense to anyone , but the less people know , the less they can testify to . What you do needs to be what YOU can live with . Me and my family will decide what to do when the time comes.

Gun Broker has a FFL finder link with a list of people that can do the transfer . My last one was 30.00 and they must ship it to the FFL holder and then you just  go and fill out the normal paperwork . For me it was cheaper to pay the 30.00 than the sales taxes here .

  They do have the right to have there rules . I agree 100% with that . I also agree that as an employee you should have known there rules. I think he did nothing wrong in defending himself , but as mentioned by doing so he should have known the penalty for doing so. I am just glad he will be able to tell about it.     This is supposed to be a free country and we in no way should be able to tell another company what rules they should make , who they should hire or anything else as long as they are within the laws set forth int the area that they are in.    The only thing we can do is not spend our money there !!! States that are anti gun , New York and Komifornia come to mind , should be loosing residents by the thousands . I realize that a move is a big expense and might have to be planned and that not everyone can do it . But to find a different place to buy a pizza is something that anyone can do.    I didn't like Cheaper than Dirt's stand after the shooting and they have something my son wants now. I am going to Benton Shooters to look for it . If they don't have it I will order it somewhere else .    I do not even go in Walgreens after the deal with the deal with the shootout a year or so ago. I  seem to have missed whatever KFC and Taco Bell did . Anyone care to share some info there. I worked retail and was told I was not allowed to even have a gun on there property .    Pizza Hut is off my list .

   For the first time in my life , I sent letters as well. I have never thought it does much good because it always seemd they vote how they want to and not how those who elected them want them to vote.  I tried to keep it as short as possible and to the point. I remember the last ban and no one thought it would happen .     With the internet , it is much easier to stay informed and voice our opinions to our congress members ( staffers is who will be actually reading them at best ). Do all you can, our freedoms are fading away everyday .

I have a semi automatic Sten pistol and an AK 47 pistol , both also have the magazine outside the pistol grip .   I think there is a bunch more concern and contact now than in 94 . We didn't believe it would happen in 94 but now we know it can . The internet is keeping people informed and helping to fight this . For the first time in my life emailed congress members .

I remember several years ago when I was still working on the police vehicles of the local city here . One of the high up officers made the statement that the day he was ordered to confiscate guns , would be the day he retired . The for a lack of better term " young and dumb " might go along with it but I would also think they might be quick to have a change of heart when faced with a large resistance .    Has anyone given considerable thought on the actual registeration that would lead to confiscation . Who is going to do the registration ? The current police , sheriff , ATF and whoever else , would be backed up in paperwork for YEARS . They would have to some degree rely on our honesty to comply . If they are 8 months behind now with NFA firearms , they might be 8 years behind before it is overwith.    The cost to implement would be paid by who ? The Government is broke and 16 trillion in debt . We have been 6 months trying to get my mother in laws Check straightened out . I guess 6 - 12 letters , some we get others the brother in law gets , And it still is not done . And you guessed it , her check is too much but we were forced to inform the V.A. that she is in a nursing home before they would finish her application for Medicaid . The Government does nothing in a timely or efficinamt manner and we think it will get better by giving them more !!!     It scares me to think of the addition of Obamacare to a Government who can get any other project done on time or in budget . You will end up dead 6 months before you get approved for treatment .    The sad part is I could actually buy a casket and bury , what I legally bought and can legally own ( for now ) cheaper than I could pay the fee for them at 200.00 each .  Would that be creating a shovel redy job ?
