    S&W M&P

Love mine. If your close to Columbia and wanna go shoot I can let you run a few through it.
  2. The price on the zero's looks too good to believe. Any downside to them?
  3. Looking for 1000 9mm plinking bullets. Prefer jacketed or plated but guessing lead will work fine. I can't seem to find any decent prices. Being new to reloading I don't really know where to look other than midway or cabellas.
  4. Ordered my paperwork. Figure what the hell. I figure a couple mosins and a cz later and I'll be happy.
  5. I just picked up a large alice pack and frame at the gun show for $20. I figured with a wife and 2 kids I needed something a little bigger. With using as the intent to get you to a final location that may take a day or 2 by foot if I have to. I plan on putting most types of stuff in there for must haves and will have a separate bag for food and water.
  6. What are the down sides to getting a c&r?
  7. The number one reason hospitals and doctors are so expensive is because of uninsured people who do not pay, illegals and poor people are that majority. Because ER's can not turn away a patient they make up for the ones who don't pay by inflating the cost of those who do. That in turn gets passed on to the insurance companies who then pass it on to consumers in the form of higher premiums, higher copays, higher deductibles, and this new idea of coinsurance. All of these are a way for the health insurance companies to pass on costs to the consumers. As for operating on margins of 3-4%, when you take inflated salaries of the top 100 employees of each insurance companies the numbers jump to 25-30%. The top 100 people at humana make over 13 billion dollars. Now I have no problem with people making good money but when it comes to people making a profit by letting people die I have an issue. If the government would simply remove the rewards for these companies and allow fair market competition, prices would go down and care would go up. Sorry for the rant but just wanted to throw my .02 in.
  8. seemed like a logical step for me. I was checking out their site the other day wondering why no 40. I'd love to get a hold of one of these to shoot. I'm usually a smith guy but these feel real good in the hand. Maybe not M&P good but good.
  9. Are you wanting a scope or red dot. Are you wanting to shoot 6 inch groups or happy with hitting the target? I don't try to shoot to claim to be a superior marksman but I bought a NCstar 3-9 x 24 that works well. About 200 rounds through it and still holding zero. From reviews these are hit or miss. Or if you want a red dot the Vortex strikefire is awesome. I have it on my other AR and it works great. I need to put some locktite on the mount but it holds up very well and has a lifetime warranty. It also comes with a 2x magnifier that screws in. For the money either one will do the job. The vortex is hands down much nicer though.
  10. You have to wonder about any candidate willing to spend MILLIONS of their own money to get elected to a job that the current governor has been doing for free. There is obviously something in it for them. If you think anything other you're crazy. They are business men and look at it as an investment if they can't double or triple their money then they are wasting their money. Vote for Haslam only if you are ok with this. But remember these a holes are the reason why politicians can't be trusted. I for one will not vote for any candidate that doesn't believe a few simple principles. Will they do what's best for the majority, do they believe in term limits, are they willing to tell special interests where to stick it, are they willing to make a "fair" salary and give up their lifetime benefits and pension? If not they aren't worthy of my vote. And so far no one gets my vote. I hate to be this way but we need real people serving 1-2 terms max and then going back to their regular lives.
  11. I'm really wanting to get a couple of old firearms, nagant etc., how hard is it to get a C&R and how long does it take? If I'm only looking at getting a few is it worth it or am I better off paying $20 FFL and tics?
  12. I try to shoot once a month and put anywhere from 50-100 through it.
  13. I carry a Smith wesson SD40 most of the time. It is about the size of a G17. Seems to be a good fit. I also have a M&P40c for a slightly more concealable firearm if I need it.
  14. The new Smith and Wesson SD9 is a really nice weapon for less than $450. I have one in 40 as well. M&P holsters work well and if you go to one of the gun shows you can pick up a Don Hume for $25, I have 2 one IWB and one OWB. As for finger groves get you a hogue slip on grip. If you want to try it out let me know I'm in Columbia and we can meet somewhere to shoot. I also have a M&P 40c if you want to try that out as well.
  15. I like the idea of the AR type 22's but like the idea of the conversions a little better. Main reason being for training and practice, the weight trigger optic feel and just about everything else but with the affordability ofthe .22lr. Don't get me wrong they are cool looking and all I just prefer to shoot something that will prepare me more for practical use.
  16. interesting
  17. The big question is does it come with the BCG and charging handle because for $335 ths JSE does and that's a bill right there.
  18. It all depends on what your use is going to be and your budget. I built a Budget AR using the JSE upper and a plum crazy polymer lower and it came in at $500 after FFL and TICS. It is my favorite out of the 2 I have. I also have a Stag 2l upper on a roggio arsenal lower. My only regret on that was that I didn't spend the extra $20 to get a stag lower (my next purchase). The stags are great products with top notch quality, fit, and finish.
  19. Magpul MBUS for $75 or get a decent lower price optic.
  20. I had mine in under a week. you won't be disappointed.
  21. I have this upper and other than the gas block coming loose I have no complaints. I've shot about 300 rounds through mine and probably another 500 .22lr with a CMMG .22lr conversion and it shoots great. If anyone wants to meet up to take a look feel free to hit me up.

    Mp 9MM FS vs G19..

Because the G22 has proven to be so reliable and never blow up in the hands of a user. Glocks have their issues too and I would put any of my smiths up against a glock any day of the week. My 40c is hands down better shooting than any glock I have ever shot. Must be good enough for the ATF too because they just beat out Glock! Investors - Press Releases - Smith & Wesson
  23. Wow and I thought 1 OWB and 1 IWB was a lot.
  24. 1. Remington 597 .22lr ---Own 2. Ar-15 5.56 ---Own 2 +.22lr conversion 3. 12 gauge pump--- Gave to my dad need to get another 4. bolt action rifle --- Picking up at next gun show 5. Pistol 9mm, .40 .45 etc --- Own 3 40's and a 9mm
  25. This is why I have S&W's. M&P 40c, SD40, SD9. They feel like a natural extension of my body.
