  1. Thanks for your efforts msparks
  2. If I wasn't going to be out of town, I'd be there. I rarely buy anything but I rarely miss a show.
  3. I've lost a little weight recently and I am certain this rig would drag my pants completely down. Then they wouldn't let me in at TN Gun Country.
  4. I pocket carried a KelTec PF-9 last summer. No problems carrying. I just fell out of love with the PF-9. I traded it off and went to the Bodyguard 380. The Bodyguard has proven to be a great pocket gun. I also have a Micro Desert Eagle .380 which is a great pocket carry.

    Ruger P95

Mine ate anything you fed it. I found it to be bulky, but not heavy. I enjoyed it and have fond memories of it. Of course I traded it for my first Glock.
  6. THIS was not what I thought when I read the headline. Heheheheh I'd prefer to have the car holster beside the seat, near when my right hand would naturally fall.
  7. How do you dispose of a bullet with a setback issue? I've had this happen from doing exactly the same thing as in the OP's story. Cycling the gun for cleaning or showing it off, or just storage and re-using the same bullets over and over. I have a shelf in my office with three or four of these "too short" 9mm rounds, where the bullet has been pushed down into the casing too far.
  8. Damn lawyers. LOL
  9. I'd like to know this as well, since we all know that a discreet sign will stop all gun crime.
  10. Eagle Imports says January 1999 is the date on my gun. Very cool.
  11. I picked up a used Bersa Thunder 380 today. While its in excellent shape and doesn't appear to have been shot much, its old enough that it does not have the trigger lock built into the gun. Does anyone have any idea how old this gun might be to NOT have a built in lock? The serial number starts with a 3. Its a great shooter and I'm tickled with my purchase, I'd just love to know the approximate age for my own information.
  12. I have a Winchester 1300 that does the same thing and is advertised to. Supposed to be the fastest gun to cycle on the market.
  13. Welcome from another Clarksvillian.
  14. Thanks for the tip Dolomite, the only Locktite I have is the RED and I was afraid to use that on such a tiny screw, was afraid it would never come back out. Barewoolf, I highly recommend that any of us who carry this gun check that screw right away. Had I needed it, it would have fired the round in the chamber, but wouldn't have cycled for the next round. Up a creek without a boomstick (or boomtwig as the case may be), ugly thought.
  15. Ok, I talked to the customer service at Smith and Wesson today, I must say, they were VERY nice and very helpful. The Bodyguard 380 has a screw that holds in the laser assembly and this screw had backed out. The head of the screw was interfering with the action of the slide. I disassembled the gun, tightened the screw, reassembled and everything is working perfectly. I'll just have to know to check this screw when I clean the gun in the future. Just so you know.
  16. Squirrel Turd! LMAO!! +1 for NRA. Yes, this guy is a news report waiting to happen. I flinched twice in the first 2 minutes of the video, then turned it off.
  17. My first experience with knifekits.com was one of the complete kits that came with kydex/plastic scales included. You might try that, a little cheaper and if he looses interest or looses the knife, you aren't out so much time and effort.
  18. I have a Bodyguard 380 that I've carried every day for several months. Its been several weeks since I fired the gun, but it worked fine last time at the range. Today, I was showing this toy to a family member. As I unloaded the gun to hand it to this person, the slide would not go back far enough to eject the chambered round. The slide would not go back far enough to engage the slide lock. It was about 3/16 of an inch too far forward. I had to put ALOT of pressure to push the slide back to eject the round. Once the gun was unloaded, I tore it down and examined it. I didn't find anything wrong, but when I reassembled the gun, the slide is rubbing on something in the last 1/8 to 3/16 of the slide motion. The slide will go back with normal pressure, but the last fraction of an inch requires extra muscle and you can feel something rubbing. This is with the gun unloaded and no mag in the gun. Any ideas? If its fairly simple, I'd rather fix it myself than ship it back to S&W. I really don't want to be without it.
  19. I agree with all the above. I actually broke the jaws of the pliers on my 10 year old Fuse. I shipped the pieces back to Leatherman and they shipped me a brand new Fuse, no charge, no questions asked. My only problem is breaking in a new tool, those pliers are stiff. But isn't that like complaining about free money?
  20. It looks light weight enough to jump completely out of your hand when fired. LOL
  21. Clarksville Police carry Glock, APSU Campus Police carry Glock. I'm not sure on MCSO.
  22. I think we are all aware that many times laws are written vaguely on purpose, so they can be used as circumstances see fit. I consulted the Chief of Police for a local university with the question about renting a house from a university and keeping a gun there. His response was "it depends". If there wasn't anything specific written in the lease agreement about guns, and the renter wasn't a student, then in all likelyhood, no one would tell him he couldn't keep a gun there. At risk of highjacking the thread, I'll give you another example. I recently put antique tags on a car I own. I have the luxury of being able to choose to buy my tags from one of two counties. TN code annotated says that antique car tags are $24 plus any county fees. One county I could buy from added EVERY county fee to the $24 state mandated fee, the other county added nothing but sales tax. So one county had $100 antique car tags, the other county had $30 antique car tags and BOTH ARE LEGAL according to TN state law. So there is a lot of leeway in the interpretation of these laws and one circumstance is not necessarily like another. So my school's chief doesn't care if a non student renter has a gun, another chief or administrator might say absolutely NO GUNS and BOTH WOULD BE LEGAL.
