  1. I use a Smith's kit that I picked up at Lowe's. I love it.
  2. Bless his heart.
  3. YIKES!!! I may see these guys in my nightmares!!!
  4. Yeah, I think most presidents have had someone like this.
  5. As a back sliding Methodist, I don't have much to say, but as a student of history and an animal lover, I like that the new pope is named after St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals. I explained this to my dogs and I think it made them happy.
  6. I wouldn't think so. Federal property comes under Federal law, not state.
  7. I read that the site says that it is good for an Arizona non-resident carry permit, which is recognized by TN. However, I'd think if you are a TN resident, you'd still need a TN permit and that requires a face to face class.
  8. Lots of us, myself included, can't immediately afford all the guns we want, but we want to try them all. My personal protection piece and my home protection piece are never offered for trade, but I have a variety of "safe queens" that while are fine guns, are available for trade if I find something more interesting than what I have now. Besides that, its the art of the deal. Can you negotiate for a piece that is more interesting or more fun than what you have now? I think trading is a great thing. I own several, and other than the two pieces mentioned above, they have all been traded for and probably will be traded in the future.
  9. Welcome to TGO from a fellow Clarksvillian. :)

  12. When you enlarge it, the AA12 is named "Big and Tasty".
  13. Gotta love it.   http://sharpwriter.deviantart.com/art/Bill-Clinton-the-Lady-Killer-357619589
  14. Go with the Charter. Chances are she will change her mind in six months and won't carry at all. You won't have as much invested.
  15. My wife carries a Taurus M380. You don't have to use the moon clips but it makes it easier to remove spent shells if you do. It is slightly smaller than what you'd consider a standard size revolver. Mainly the cylinder is smaller and shorter.
  16. TR is an excellent choice, and might eventually win, but AJ still gets my vote just for the shear crazy factor.
  17. I'm going with Andrew Jackson on this. I've always thought his Presidential portrait has crazy eyes.
  18. Please keep us updated if you hear anything.
  19. Thanks everyone for the excellent advice. HOPEFULLY, I'll get to shoot it this weekend.
  20. Hey, can you put a bi-pod on an SKS?
  21. I traded for my first SKS. Its a Yugo with a tacticool Tapco plastic furniture and a Nc Star sniper scope attached. Its the Yugoslavian version that has the attachment at the end of the barrel for the grenade launcher. It has the bayonet attached and came with two 20 round Tapco mags adn the original wood furniture and 100 rounds of ammo. I read up on it and tested it and it does not slam fire. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Can anyone with experience with these guns tell me what to expect? Any other problems to look for? I think the brass is going to hit the scope, there is no shield for the scope. Would it be acceptable for the time being to just put a little adhesive backed padding on the side of the scope to keep the ejecting brass from dinging it up or damaging it? I look forward to responses.
