  1. Couple years ago, Dad brought from a Dealer in NC, no tax at the dealer and then paid tax when he tagged it back in his County in TN.
  2. Crap, while everyone was telling him to eject, no one told him to setup a safety contact to make sure he is OK.
  3. Guess Gas was starting to get 2 cheap.
  4. To early for the BOB unless you are leaving smoke behind and not coming back.  If you trust your neighbors that is a good option, but if like most people in cities don't know them.  Break out the MRE's and setup watch.
  5. He should have shot it before trading.   Now it just comes down to if you 2 can work something out reasonable. As suggested above, I hope you had the serial number wrote down just in case he is trying to swap a different gun back.
  6.   Same here.   Not going to speculate any more on this.
  7. Don't go looking for trouble.
  8. prayers sent.
  9.  Crap, I totally misread that.  I read, got it in my head you where turning 30.    I have had a rough day with TV's and been to walmart 3 times.
  10. 30 isn't bad.  Next spring I will be hitting 40.   My best advise I can give you, watch your weight now.  I went up 125 pounds from 30 to 40 mostly with out noticing.  I have already cut about 30 off that and working to do more. Keep up that gym.  at 30, I did my exercises.  but I slowly got out of it.  DON'T stop.
  11. I had a choice 32 inch or 40 inch. the OLD TV was a 29 but you know flat wide screens appear smaller.  I can't explain it.   I worried a 32 wide screen would be 2 small, then I found all the 32s in stock was 720p instead of 1080 So that was the finally push to get me to by the 40.   There was no way a 40 inch TV was going to work where the OLD TV had been.   I spent the remaining bit of my day moving everything around in the Master bedroom.  Totally reorganized.   I found stuff that was probably lost 10 plus years ago.  But I believe I reclaimed more room with a better setup.
  12. This is my Second Flat screen.   Now I am also 2 for 2, The CAT hates both.  scared to death of them when they are on.   I now have no longer CRT type TV's. the Power consumption is a big plus on LED TV's for sure.
  13. A few weeks ago, an OLD TV my wife has had for near 20 years died. NO big deal, these things happen. Good opportunity to upgrade a nice flat screen in the bed room. Kinda concerned but knowing other people that have, I ordered one off the internet, about 100 bucks cheaper then in stores. It was a refrub but in the past that has never been an issue. I get the TV a week later, hook it up and found the screen was cracked on the inside. I had to deal with shipping it back. Well WOOT did cover the cost of the return shipping. I decided not to try to have one shipped again, I am left with paying full retail. I shop around and everyone is all about the same price, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Sears. HH Gregg was the highest I found. So I pick up one at Walmart today, and As I am un boxing it, I found a major problem. So back to Walmart, to get another replacement. Got another one, we checked it at the store, it appeared OK, took it home and it worked fine. Bad Luck and Bad Odds combined to give me a double whammy.

    Condom joke

An American is having breakfast, in Paris, one morning (coffee, croissants, bread, butter and jam) when a Frenchman, chewing bubble-gum, sits down next to him. The American ignores the Frenchman who, nevertheless, starts a conversation. Frenchman: "You American folk eat the whole bread??" American: "Of course." Frenchman: "We don't. In France, we only eat what's inside. The crusts we collect in a container, recycle it, transform them into croissants and sell them to the states." The Frenchman has a smirk on his face. The American listens in silence. The Frenchman persists: "Do you eat jelly with the bread??" American: "Of Course." Frenchman: "We don't. In France we eat fresh fruit for breakfast, then we put all the peels, seeds, and leftovers in containers, recycle them, transform them into jam, and sell the jam to the states." After a moment of silence, The American then asks: "Do you have sex in France?" Frenchman: "Why of course we do", he says with a big smirk. American: "And what do you do with the condoms once you've used them?" Frenchman: "We throw them away, of course." American: "We don't. In America, we put them in a container, recycle them, melt them down into bubble-gum, and sell them to France.   http://www.ebaumsworld.com/jokes/read/80881443/

    John Galt

I never read the book, but my wife did.   Funny thing, most people that I have met that read the book refuse to watch the movie. While others that watched the movie really appreciated it.   Like I said, my wife read it in high school and refuses to watch the movie with me.
  19. Tigerdirect.com newegg.com amazon.com   On tiger, watch out for rebate prices but should do fine.

Found this in the elevator at work. (Yes I know should take the stairs.) I hear the movie will be out in September. I know my wife won't go, but I will be there.
  21. not to be an alarmist, but   http://abcnews.go.com/US/tenn-man-quarantine-ebola-outbreak-im-feeling/story?id=24810734   A Tennessee doctor who placed himself in quarantine after volunteering in West Africa, where the Ebola virus is rampant, says he's "feeling well" and showing no sign of symptoms.     *******He is going to do a 21 self quarantine it appears.   ***********   Also I have not found confirmed on major news site but one person feared dead in london after walking off a plane. I am not putting a ton of stock in this yet but needs to be watched just in case.     ******************************************************************************** Ebola terror: Passenger dies at London airport Published: 35 mins ago (MIRROR) — Airport staff tonight told of their fears of an Ebola outbreak after a passenger from Sierra Leone collapsed and died as she got off a plane at Gatwick. Read more at http://www.wnd.com/2014/08/ebola-terror-passenger-dies-at-london-airport/#Kg0iMrtU5aUKFRtA.99 *******************   After reading that story, only thing that is really known is a 72 year old woman died after getting off a plane from Sierra Leone, does not come out and say it was Ebola.   However I say it still strengthens a case for needing quarantine for people traveling from the effected area.
  22. when I first posted it, it was very different.  But it appeared people where reporting and getting them taken down.  I saw some that were just offering water for sale, that appeared was not bottled and I wondered if they were bad enough to just try to sell tap water anyways.     BTW, once the pump houses are cleared it will take time for it to get though all the pipes.  I would turn off my ice maker and everything like that.  Empty the ice out regular for a while as well.
  23. and My biglots has water for 2:45 or 3 bucks depending on the brand.  I normally spring for the 3 dollar stuff.  (both 24 bottles, 16.9)
  24. Just goes to show how fast a disaster can and will happen. What is the standard they stay a person should have, 3 days of food and water at a minimum.   BTW, people have taking to Craigslist to cash in. http://toledo.craigslist.org/search/sss?query=water&sort=rel
  25. I think it has already mutated some, as it now can take up to 21 days before symptoms, so it appears it is not killing as fast as it once did.   (If 1 or 2 both of these patients that got transported to Atlanta survive they will probably go on a national book signing thus reassuring the general public it is not as big a deal as it is.)
