  1. Interesting question. I have no idea what the answer is for sure. Since you are a TN resident, I don't think a VA permit would legally allow you to carry here. TN law says if you are a TN resident, you must have a TN permit. If you are going to end up getting a TN permit anyway, seems it would be easier to simply apply for a TN one to start with. Even if you get the VA one then transfer it to TN, you will still be in the TN database when you get the TN permit, so you really haven't solved anything there.
  2. Cool... I will post later tonight about being able to come.
  3. AFAIK a quoted post within the post you quote, will not be included. If you want to include it you would need to use the multi-quote function to select each message separately as strickj has shown above.
  4. At this time I can't commit that I can make it, however if I can, is there an area/place we would gather before hand?
  5. I have... Normally I like those guys...but that video really didn't sit right with me.
  6. You mean you'd take the Brady Bunch's word over anyone here?!
  7. Best of luck!!! Make sure and let us know the results....
  8. Well I usually stay within the park when I go. Of course the last time I went....it did feel a bit different.
  9. ....and you'd be wrong. That has been widely discussed in another thread. A licensed dealer can not sell one to anyone under 21, but it is legal in a private transaction. That is the whole purpose of this thread....a lawmaker wants to make it illegal. Read the first post where the ATF agent said it is legal. As far as possesing one....my 13 year old son can possed a handgun on my property with my permission. In some states 16 year olds can legaly open carry a handgun in public without a permit.
  10. Think they've already said the sale was legal. Supposed to have bought it from the same person she bought the Escelade from.
  11. Lots of good talk...but I don't think it'll go anywhere. One good thing about the legislature being adjourned. By the time they come back in Jan maybe this will have died down.
  12. Welcome

  14. Name: ALL CITY PARKS City: Paris Results of Vote: Carry prohibited (vote 4-1), by Paris City Council The Paris Post-Intelligencer > News > Local News > Commission decides no guns in parks
  15. State WMAs will be legal immediately when HB0961 becomes law. That will be either when the governor signs it or 10 days (excluding Sundays) after it has sat on his desk, which will either be the 11th or 12th.
  16. One thing to remember is State WMAs are not legal as of yet. So if the Forest is also a WMA then it wouldn't be legal....yet.
  17. The new law allows for carry in State Forest as well as State Parks. http://www.capitol.tn.gov/Bills/106/Chapter/PC0428.pdf
  18. Well at least it doesn't affect Paris Landing State Park. I figure cities the size of Paris and Jackson are the ones that may go either way. I think it is all but a given the larger cities, Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville and so on are going to ban carry. Small cities are liable to never bring it up and simply let the law go into effect. The medium size cities....who knows. As we've seen, Jackson will allow carry and Paris will not.
