  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punisher   Basically a vigilante to the max
  2. Maybe it is because the Punisher does what they are prevented from doing. We all know evildoers that get away with it either through a legal technicality or being over a line on a map that the good guy can't cross. The Punisher is about ultimate and final retribution for those who are evil. Prime example due to ROE our troops have to let the Taliban attack them and fire the first shot before our guys can respond. Or the drug king pin who lives in a fortress of a house that the law can't touch. These people are those that the Punisher mythology tells us will eventually get what they have earned. Plus the skull logo is cool.
  3. For the light surface rust 00 brass wool with kerosene and penetrating oil. Mix the kerosene and gun oil 50/50. Then take a small piece, think finger tip sized, of the brass wool and do little-known circles over the rust. Use lots of the oil mix on the brass wool. It should get rid of the rust with out too much finish damage. If the action is sticky do not use WD40. It can glue a gun shut. Once it evaporates it leaves behind a lacquer that can make things worse. Use krill on the stock bolt then a ratchet once you get the bolt out take the stock off and set it aside. Soak the whole gun except for the for end in the same oil mix above then go over it with a stiff/firm toothbrush. You will get a ton of the crap off of it that way. For the screw with the goober head kroil the hell out of it or use P B Blaster or any penetrating oil. IM me. I ama gunsmith and can give you some more ideas
  4. Wow not the ending I expected but much better
  5. Either some Remington 405 grain ammo or 405grain bullets of equal value. With the 405's at 1350-1400 fps recoil is not to bad. I had one of those Past pads but gave it to my dad after he had a shoulder surgery.
  6. I bought two boxes of this in a brain cart. I thought it was loaded close to the Remington 405 grain load. The Winchester is right t the pressure limit for my double rifle, 280000 CUP. Also I don't know that my shoulder can take the abuse. I have been shooting the remington and some reloads. I will either pull the Winchester bullets and reload the brass to lower velocities or trade it off. Just mad at myself for not reading tbe boxes more carefully at the store. Anyone want some ammo? LOL
  7. Peace and comfort sent to you and your family. It is very hard to loose a parent during the holidays.
  8. I know this is a necro... While I was at the range today a guy had one of these on his AR pistol with a SIG brace. There were 4 clay pigeons on the 25 yard berm at CHMR. Fur shots four shattered clays. I think it is a good concept. Going to get one to put on my Just right carbine
  9. Got some at the store in Spring Hill yesterday. It is starting to show up again
  10. Without a round in the chamber a handgun is just a paperweight.
  11. Scored some last weekend 5.4 cents per round. Got the last box at my local store.
  12. How many of our gun purchases are based on need anyway? Mine are almost always want based except for my....... oh okay who am I kidding they are always want based.
  13. It was a decent show found some slugs at the same price as online. Also found two extended choke tubes for my Condor Outback that were half the online price. Saw  .22lr for as low as 4.9 cents per round. Saw some deals on gun prices decent show depending on what you are looking for. Did not find reloading supplies for 45-70 need some .458 405 grain or 300 grain bullets. I met Hickock45 and his son John. They are both very tall
  14. Charlie Hafner's range is fun, but only open until 4:30 this time of year. Pickets in Columbia has good fun and also live music some nights.
  15. I thought there was supposed to be one in Middle Tennessee this week end.
  16. There are Korean made 27 round mags for 45acp. My Glock likes them and feeds fine. However my Just Right Carbine won't feed from them. There are also kits to turn your 13 round mags to 30 rounders for the K riss I haven't tried them yet. The kits cost 30-40 plus a 13 round mag. Not sure if they are worth it.
  17. I used to live in 380 Harding Place apartments. The new years eve before I moved to Spring Hill in February of 2005 at midnight I heard someone let loose with a full auto AK. My wife grew up in that area and it makes her sad when we go through there. Lots of bad changes
  18. This is the part that concerns me the number of doctors and nurses who were supposedly using the proper precautions and still got it. Also heard an interview on the a talk show where the expert stated it was more infectious this time around but less deadly. Also she stated the official death toll is only 25-50% of the actual deaths.this strain of Ebola probably is not the doomsday bug but it is very nasty and pretty good at killing people.
  19. Unfortunately I would have to if it was bad. She had a hip replaced earlier this year and still is not too comfortable driving. Also the only gun I can get her to shoot is a tube fed .22. Trust me I want her to learn to shoot and take care of herself but the switch has not yet turned on all the way. She is coming around so hopefully soon I will get here to that point. Plus her company does not allow carry. Also I do not have a TAVOR, so not really an option.
  20. My just Right Carbine is a .45acp. The Korean 27 round mags work okay once they have been tuned. It feeds best from the factory 13 round mags. I do need more mags though.
  21. I guess loaded magazine round count would br the decider. Glock/Just Right Carbine 165 rounds and AR15 would be 320 to 350 rounds.
  22. I work in Cool Springs and my wife works on Brentwood. Should civil unrest occur and I need to go get her would it be better to have lots of magazines loaded for my Glock in the truck with me or the AR15 loaded with lots of magazines? I have a Just Right Carbine in the same caliber as the Glock would it be better than the AR with a little more reach than the pistol by itself?
