  1.  I agree. This kind of raises another question I have been asking myself. When we get to this point what else can we do? I have emailed and written reps and received all the same canned responses everyone else has. I have hope that they can do something but not much confidence.   I am just wondering is there any other peaceful measure I myself can take other than trying my best to educate the population on guns and/or sitting on my hands waiting for the inevitable. It's just pretty clear to me that while I do believe this is still the greatest nation on the planet we have a few up in D.C who want to cash in on that at our expense. This nation is great because the PEOPLE made it that way. Not the laws or regulations. When the people who don't think that way outnumber those that do I will be very very worried.
  2. So I guess they are just overlooking the fact that a POLICE OFFICER just went on a "Rampage" (their words not mine) with one of the 30 round killing machines. Guess they are just overlooking that. Kind of puts a flaw in that logic. Of course we all already know this.....   I have the utmost respect for our armed forces and police officers and am not trying to downplay the training they receive but I am getting sick and tired of the word civilians being synonymous with ignorant, irresponsible, and dangerous unless supervised when it comes to firearms!!! I know a few police officers that have less training than I have received as a civilian (which isn't much at all). They are not dangerous by any means and know how to operate their firearms but aren't any better a shot than I am. They also aren't any less prone to going nuts and shooting everyone.   These politicians that are trying to pass this crap are not only "weak kneed" but they are selfish, self serving, idiots that think we are stupid!
  3. What happens on the web stays on the web....Like literally.....forever....... :pleased:
  4. Awesome read! Thanks for posting. I may just email some of the news networks and tell them about this. Surely they must have just missed it.........
  5. And I'm sure they will. They CANNOT let Tyrese come in and out of the storyline like that. I have a feeling we will see them in the next one or two episodes.
  6. I am at work and was trying to get off the phone to order it! Wasn't meant to be.
  7. CRAP IT's GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
  8. That's by far the worst part. Waking to realize it wasn't true.
  9. I'm glad you started this thread. Seems we all have the running slow, can't hit anyone hard enough, gun won't fire, wake up right at the good part dreams.   Nice to know we are all a little weird. haha
  10. I had this dream for a good two years after I got my permit. Once I bought a glock I never had that problem again.   I am an M&P man now though.   Not just kidding though I really did have that same type dream. Seems pretty common from what Caster said.
  11. Meh. Michonne could have easily taken out a truck full of zombies. I guess they were shooting at her though. They cleared it once so just clear it again. Funny how all of a sudden everyone sucks when shooting at humans but are dead eyes when shooting zombies at 500 yards with a flashlight suppressor equipped pistol with no useable sights. :pleased:
  12. This is the reason I haven't been to the range in a while. Too bad too because I used to enjoy it. Once I get some ammo though I plan on transitioning to IDPA. I think I will get better use of my ammo AND be around folks who won't shoot me.
  13.   This does make good sense. I didn't think to notice that part. If in fact he hadn't drawn his gun after the attack then yes I would agree that he wasn't in the wrong. Not something I would have done personally but nonetheless I wouldn't think there would be grounds for charges.   I guess I would hope a court looks at it like TMF described. which it looks like they are.   Also just want to clarify I love the fact that the good guys won on this one. I guess I just like playing devil's advocate sometimes even if I'm not THAT good at it. :usa:
  14. That's what the police are there for. Let them get your stuff back so you don't run the risk of going to jail over what was in your wallet or ,more likely in this case, your Rambo complex. Your HCP in TN is for you protection if your life is in immediate danger. Once the guy ran off that threat is over. Running away shooting back I could understand, but once he rounded the corner and went down the street he is gone. If his self defense claim was based on the second attack, that he provoked, then he's lucky it wasn't a young kid or worse a young minority. Don't mean for that to sound racist either. Just don't know how else to say it. He'll be lucky if he isn't sued in civil court by the family. Just my .02 and again I don't know WI law so all of this may mean squat up there.
  15. Haha I have never seen those before. Now I can't stop watching them!
  16. I'm the same way now. I am almost afraid of armslist. I told the wife I want to move farther east so I can get it on all the good trades on TGO. Only a few of us here in the Memphis area haha.
  17. Well he didn't "Stand his ground". He "advanced his ground" if you will. I am very surprised they are calling it justified but as 2.0 said, WI law may be different. Bad choice on his part IMO.
  18. That's what I would have done. I have almost wanted to mess with a few of these guys on armslist but decided against it. It's their stuff so I guess they can ask what they want.
  19. I am somewhat embarrassed for my generation after hearing that. I know it's cliche to say this but that would have had a far different ending had I been there. That just really disgusts me.....
  20. Yeah i have little felt circles on the bottom. The wife made sure of that haha.
  21. Well I can't get a completed picture until the legs dry out so I can paint them but here she is! I ended up going with a 2x4 shelf just mainly because I like how it looks. I put some drawer liner on the top to kind of minimize wear on the surface. Once that sheet wears out I can just change it out! 22. Wow that looks awesome! No doubt mine would look better with the stain but honestly I didn't take my time on the cuts and pick out really straight wood so the fit and finish of the build itself just doesn't justify doing that. Next time I build though I will definitely consider that. I am finishing up my table this weekend. I have everything done except picking out how to do the shelf on the bottom. I don't want to do mdf or osb. Plywood would be fine but I don't like the pattern of the "grain". I am thinking of just using 2x4's crossways like decking and painting it. Hopefully have some pics soon. Now I just need to get my press. Looking at the lee pro 1000 to get me started.
  23. Oh I didn't remember that but he did! Still blaming it on the safety. Haha
  24. For me it's more or less my child's safety I will be concerned about. I don't have kids yet but we are trying so it will be at least another 6-7 years before they would start. Who knows what conditions will be like then. MY only two options at this time would be private school or home school. I don't feel like either of these two schools are unsafe so if nothing changes my children will attend. I will have a problem if they try to suspend my child for playing with an invisible light saber or talking about shooting guns for sport.   With that said I am not too concerned with the schools trying to indoctrinate my child with liberal, leftist ideologies. As long as they are being taught how to read, write, add, subtract, etc. I will make sure to take an interest in what they are being told outside of those lessons and also be sure to instill them with the morals and beliefs that I think they should be learning. I was surrounded by bad influences in high school just like everyone else and while I did make some mistakes my family taught me right and wrong and showed an interest in my well being. The schools are only a fraction of the problem. As can be said for most anything; it all starts at home.
