  1. He needs to get a 9mm Mac with a suppressor. Fire off a couple of mags and then see if he's ok with where the the ricochets go.
  2. It was the paw that sold me, seemed fitting for the Alaskan pistol. I felt bad keeping the revolver in that cheapo one size fits all plastic thing Ruger put it in. What an insult.
  3. Stoked, Christmas in March ! Seen Jeff Quinn had one for his 480 Alaskan, was only right to have one for my 454. So I emailed Bob Mernickle out in Nevada. Less than 24 hours he mails me back with info. I call and Bobs wife answers, transfers me to Bob. Order is placed. 4-6 week turn around but it was closer to 4. Great service and product. All I can say wow, this thing is bad ass. Happy, happy happy.
  4. A .45 won't shoot through a engine block. But it will cause the transmission to shift into Reverse and the throttle hang wide open.
  5. New rule, cant move here unless you bring some rimfire with you.
  6. I've hit the broad side of a barn with a .22 pistol.
  7. Today's finds. Small eagle cuff, .69 musket ball,.36 pistol ball, melted lead. Unknown brass piece on right.
  8. Anything i find that I can't identify turns out to be tractor parts.
  9. I was at the Knoxville gun show Saturday and low and behold dude walks up sporting the lasted badge and loaded pistol. Couldn't help but laugh, and follow him. Had to see what the two KPD officers checking/zipping firearms would do. I couldn't get close enough to hear. Badge dude draws his pistol at the check in station covering both officers with the muzzle. Removes the loaded mag and racks the slide ejecting the one in the pipe. The officers said a few words and handed back his pistol. Badge dude turned around holding an empty pistol with mag and bullet in hand. He then walked the gauntlet of people back to his car. (Walk of shame.) Especially bad for him because some people thought he was some kind of officer. Two guys next to me said, "idiot." I stood outside for a few more minutes but I never saw him come back. The officers had the "WTF" look on their faces. I wish I could have overheard them, but they seemed professional about it.
  10. First thing I thought is what Dixie said, a outside bearing. 8 inch rears are known for that. Sometimes you can narrow down a vibration by seeing if it's speed related or rpm related. Get it vibrating and note the speed. Put the trans in another gear and get it too vibrate. If it vibrates the same speed in any gear it is usually from the tail shaft back. Shaft/joints/rear/drums/tires/wheels. RPM vibration is usually trans forward. Put the truck on blocks and run it. Also you can lift up on the tire/wheel and find bearing play.

  14. Hadn't been playing but turned on the Xbox 360 last night and there it was, FREE. Of course there are cost addons. It plays as good as the PC.
  15. They may be. But for $24 you can't go wrong for a kit.
  16. Tandy Leather has some kits. There may be one near you.
  17. A friend had been using kroil on a Taurus millennium. After awhile the mag wouldn't drop. He handed me the pistol one day and said it wouldn't fire. The kroil destroyed the round (primer) in the pipe and several other in the mag. I guess it swelled the frame too. Not sure what else he does with his pistols but this one was soaking wet with kroil.
  18. I've worked on smiths that had 2 pins. They don't tap through. They had to come out, or "back "out" the same way they went in. The barrel isn't grooved all the way across. So it's like having 2 plugs. But looks like 2 straight through pins. Just FYI.
  19. Do not carry it with one in the chamber, it can drop fire.
  20. Thunderbolt and Golden bullets are dangerous, always have been.
  21. I would worry about the Abominable Snowman tracks in the foreground. Could be a set up.
  22. I noticed Jefferson City Walmart getting in 333 Winchester by the case, ( gone by 7am) by the 4 old men that camp out every day. On an other note. Luckgunner I think in Knoxville? Has Thunderbolt 500 bricks for $80, eighty, EIGHT ZERO + shipping+Tax. $20 more dollars and you can get 500 rounds of 762x39 from sgammo. Happy plinking.
  23. Alright guys, plenty of outrageous ammo prices on armslist right now. FLAG away!
