A belt would be a nice item, if the material does not stretch over time (does it?). My first thought at looking at your work is "that weave is going to change size and require constant readjustment if actually USED". That may not be true, but from experience with woven goods, it is what my gut says. My 2 cents on the ad: that color in your ad is not really attractive. Bright colors sell, black sells as well, and multi color attracts the eye. Show one black and maybe the camo in the image, and put them on a gun, and put that gun in the hands of an attractive female.

I have this wealthy friend in mexico who wants my uzi, I loaned it to him to try out and he wants to buy it now for some sort of shooting sport called "termino de patrolos bordoros" or something. Can he just pay me now or does he need to get one directly from you guys?

The time frame is whenever the legal borrowing of the firearm ends and ownership begins --- that would be when money changes hands IMHO. Expert advice is absolutely needed, to get it right, but looking at the firearms laws of TN and the USA, I do not see anything that prevents this man from acting as a shipper at the request of the owner to get the gun from one place to another. The letter of the law is sufficient, and I would respect the law more but according to the BAFTE (or whatever the letters are now) its quite legal for us to sell guns to criminals living in another country, so selling them across state lines should be no problem at all. The bill of sale SHOULD be faxed from the owner to the FFL. The guy in GA MUST contact the ffl.

Massachusetts Logic: Knives Stab People....
Jonnin replied to Glock30's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Sad that such a historic city and symbol of freedom has become a police state that totally ignores the laws of our country as its leaders grab for more and more power and might over the citizens. -
An individual can send a gun to an FFL without his own FFL, though. Its quite legal for example for me to ship my gun to the manufacturer for service via UPS, as the manufacturer has a type of FFL (has to, to make guns!). And while I looked it was simply unclear (as legal crap usually is) as to HOW the gun gets to the FFL for the transfer to happen. In other news, its quite legal to loan a firearm to another person under various conditions but I do not know if what has been done so far (long term/overnight, out of state loan?) violates any rules. As far as I know if I sold gun on an auction site I could also ship directly to a FFL for the buyer. As far as the spirit of the law thing, so long as the gun is passed thru the FFL eventually, it conforms to the spirit of the law as the background check is performed, the tax paid, the gun numbers ran to check for stolen, etc. I see nothing wrong with what is happening here -- its a simple try before you buy deal not any sort of attempt to bypass any laws. He is clearly trying to get it right without paying $100 in shipping to get right back where it started from.

If you are looking for small, thin, & not too pricy, the taurus 709 is a soild pick if you dislike DAO guns. Beretta is about to hit the market with their nano, which is looking very similar to this in a striker fired gun, but may be more pricy (?). There are a glut of very similar DAO 9mms in small frames, if you like that style you are in luck. The smallest SA I know of is out of production and much bigger, no one has figured out how to micro it yet.

I would. I learned long ago that women can be just as evil and mean as men. Not as physically strong, but they more than make up for it --- as seen here. Honestly, what group of 3 girls would not have 1 phone between 3 of em? That would have set off an alarm for me, but I am sorta paranoid anyway.

The big question here is "can you legally deliver it to the FFL as a courier for the seller". You want to find out from some legal expert if there is any way you can perform that function instead of UPS or Fedex or whatever at the seller's request. From there, the seller would contact your FFL to tell them it is coming, then you deliver it. Then you pick it back up after they log it into their books, and its golden. IFF you can find a way to play delivery boy legally.

Yes, I am not sure what the deal is. Even if you turn off adobe adplayer, the images still gum up the works, its like the big ad companies found a bulk deal on 386's with 14.4 modems and are now using those for servers.

As others have said, its a hard pick. I thought about it a few times when this thread first popped up and never had an answer, but I think I can take a stab at it now. I am going to go with my old east german makarov. It was cheap, $200, and shoots cheap ammo (1k for under 200 or reload for a fraction of that, $4 a box reloaded). Its accurate, makes a solid hole at 10 yards or so and stays in the black of a 25 yard b2 at 25 yards. Its reliable, the only jams ever were from a magazine that I wore out using steel ammo. Its rugged, with nearly 10k rounds through it now. It fits my hands well. The simple design is a marvel of engineering (I have seen more complex DAO builds). The fast load mag design is handy for good use of range time. Even at today's prices, if you take out .22 caliber guns, it would be very difficult to find an equal or better gun for under $500, and I hate to say it but its better (or equal to) my other, newer, more expensive guns. My 1911 is a close second but at 4X the price tag and a questionable design, it remains #2.

Heh I liked him too, more as I got older. I do remember the irony of my parents, mom liked elvis, dad liked cash, and both of em one day lectured me about the "crap" I was listening to who were "a bunch of drug addicts". One of the rare moments when one gets to school their parents, priceless. I love my folks but they were, like any parents, occasionally irrational JC had a real talent for taking a weakly performed song and making it awesome, rusty cage is a great example, so is Hurt. I hate most covers, and even moreso country covers of rock, and yet these are some of the best remakes ever. Social distortion beat or tied him on ring of fire though, but they are also exceptionally good.

Seems ad related to me. Some ads take forever to fetch (this seems random), but the actual site is fast, but the site page waits for the ad to load first. I am not going to mention the obvious fix for this.

I lube some of my pistol cases, not every one but about 1 /10 just to get a little up in the die. I use the hornady unique grease lube and it transfers well from the case to the die, making as if the next 10-20 cases had lube on them.

welcome! Nothing like having a wife shoot with you, and watch your back, its a great way to spend time together.
-
Just make them all the same, and shoot them all from the same position, and they will all go in the same hole... I am learning to do this myself and its not easy, better reloading equipment (more $$) would help but its possible to do by hand if you do not mind the tedious measure/weighing of each component for each round.

Breaking the contract can cost more than keeping the phone, depends on how much time was left on the contract and what the fee for breaking it is, if it was one of the pricy contracted phone services. Having it may help get a job, or not, it varies some. Its a face value thing, its easy to say "he has X, he isnt too bad off" but have you ever tried to sell a used phone or TV in a world of disposable electronics? No one wants it, unless they can get it for very, very cheap... so cheap the seller wouldnt be fed for long off the proceeds. If I sold all my TVs and phones and such I doubt I could eat for 2 weeks off it (granted, I do not have a lot of fancy gadgets, my tv still has a tube and is like 15 years old).

hey, I was sorta right for once

Welcome! If anyone else is around my age, I am sure they remember the early racing game "pole position" as well. Cheezy graphics, all I can remember is a poorly drawn dragster and a complete inability to stay in the road instead of on the grass.

I dont know about that loading port comment. Its not that much smaller than the port on my 30-30. ??? The port on mine is about 1 inch long and 30-30 shell wide.

You could make one but his, as noted, is a hollywood prop. I have a 9X scope on my 30-30 and its a killer at 100-200 yards, extrapolate that to a long range caliber should be easy. The hard part would be finding a lever gun in an acceptable caliber, I do not know what is out there, but I do not think there are a lot of 335s, 308s, 30-06s, 7mms, or the like in lever guns to be found... However, remember that back when, a sniper rifle was only used at a couple hundred yards, 350 or so yards is a pretty common sniper shot and the real long range stuff is much more rare. A lot of men have died to a 300 or so yard shot, a 4 power scope, and whatever rifle.

so will lee, but its not hard to get them out of the lee dies (or the others, probably). Takes a lot of force to take the dies apart and put them back together but 5 min will get the case unstuck, die cleaned, and all back together again.

The biggest killer of ammo is your self defense ammo, stored in your magazine in the gun, and residual oil (if you use a thin oil to lube your gun). Either avoid thin oils in your carry gun or seal your ammo well and buy fresh every year or so. Ammo kept out of the gun in dry storage will last for an untold amount of time; many shooters fire surpluse WW1 and older ammo and it mostly works too. No one knows how long ammo will last because modern ammo (say, 1980 and newer) has not been around long enough to go bad from age... heck, the 1900s ammo is not failing from age yet either!

There are a lot of things that really need to be said to a kid off to college. Don't forget to remind him, for example, that his goal is a degree that will land him a job in a very bad economy. Remind him that the wrong sort of partying could ruin his life, from failing a drug test on his job interview to failing out due to drinking to legal troubles caused by a woman who decided that she didnt really mean to get drunk and, um, do other stuff. Remind him that online pictures, comments, and so on that are tied to his real name will be there forever and employers look at/for this stuff. I guess, remind him to have fun but to come out of there ready to work and with a clean record.

Is it possible that the shell holder is worn out or damaged, so it gets mashed into the die and then is not retained to pull it back out? Its hard to imagine any damage to the die that would cause a lubed pistol round to stick after a good cleaning.
