RKs website lists the next M'boro show in Oct. That's what I'm basing it on. Don't know why the gap. Maybe the M'boro bldg. isn't available until then. Do know they also use it for a flea mkt. Someone else might have a better idea. Since H'ville & M'boro are about the same distance from me, it doesn't matter to me, just curious as to the reason. ?????

That's the only ones I've ran across lately. I just take 'em home & give 'em to the Grandboys for a novelty.

Anyone going to this show? Want to find a Walther PPQ in 40 at a decent price. Since the M'boro show is out of the picture for a while, it might be a better show than lately.

Never had any experience with a digital scale, but have read a lot of bad reviews with these buggers. I'll stick with my old beam scale & make do. It might be a bit slow for some folks, but it works.

I'd just as soon not be in the woods with anything a 30-06 won't kill.

FWIW, I just renewed my subscription yesterday using PayPal with no issues.

Personally, I couldn't care less where he went, but, my daughter does. She is (was ) a huge Broncos fan, but can't stand Peyton. She's getting rid of all her Bronco stuff & joining the Packers with her husband. LOL Kinda funny tho to see Bud Adams not get his way for once. No big mystery where the spotlight will be next season.

Might want to take a look at the Walther PPQ in 9 or 40. I'm planning on getting the PPQ in 40 myself. Everyone that has one seems to give it great reviews. It's somewhat an upgraded version of the P99 that I had a few yrs ago. JMHO

Dave, I priced the only one at the show, at a dealer from Cleveland. Tagged at $569, $620 out the door. I declined. One of our former Deputies has his FFL. Gonna get a price from him this week, plus availability. Hear they're sometimes in short supply. No interest in the PPS.

Just got back from the show. They are still charging $5 for parking. $8 admiss. Good size crowd there today. Sold the pistol I went there to sell at a decent price. Bought a couple of cleaning swabs & a book, about to starve, so I hot footed it back to Lebanon to KFC. Man, that fried chicken was good. Priced a Walther PPQ 40 S&W with one dealer. A bit pricey. Think I can do better. Maybe next week at Hendersonville. Great day to be out & about, regardless.

Anyone going to Bill Goodmans Gun, Knife, & Flea mkt. stuff show this weekend? Planning on biting the bullet ( pun intended ) for the admission & trying to sell a pistol.

True, Walmart has cameras all over the place. Question is, is anyone monitoring them. I went into the Lebanon store a few adys ago to get a new battery for my mower, had the old core with me. There was no one at the door to put on the sticker they normally do. Asked a clerk, she said they don't do that anymore. Gallatin store, same way. There's no one to check at the door when you leave either. Just makes me wonder if their security has taken a hit due to budget reasons. Not that it was all that great to begin with. Suggest you watch you own back, which I do anyway.

Folks. I've been dealing with the VA since I medically retired out of Uncle Sams' Army in '68. If you're going to the VA for any reason, be sure to take a large jar of Vaseline with you. You're going to need it. Nothing this bunch does will surprise me.

The ones I've been to were not so "Great". Unless you live close by & nothing else to do, I'd skip it.

Used to subscribe to American Handgunner, but let it expire. Usually just buy whatever has an article that interests me. Most don't.

My thoughts as well. I have a PT709 ( same size as 740 ), that's a good smaller gun, fits in the front pocket of my TruSpec pants, inside a Blackhawk nylon pocket holster I got at Wally World for $10. Probably get one for around $360 or so. Also have a Crossbreed Supertuck for it.

I don't know who digs up these shows, but they should locate an island somewhere, just go & sit.
