  1. I've never found much in the way of reloading supplies at a gun show. Just the basics, some powder, primers, bullets. Not a big selection of that. Best bet is the Reloaders Bench in Mt. Juliet, if you're close.
  2. Made the show. Got there just before lunch. Didn't find everything I wanted to check on, but did buy 5 boxes of Trioxane fuel tablets. 3 per box, $1 per box. Still a lot of non gun items. Even had one dude massaging feet. LOL
  3. Same here, Hawkeye. I'd love to see this show. Has to be awesome, but a bit out of my range. I'll have to settle for the 'Boro for now.
  4. RK Shows has their gun show this weekend in the 'boro, if anyone's interested. Guess I'll try to be there around lunch time. FWIW, noticed on RKs ads they say, "we do not regulate dealers prices". Does any show regulate prices? Never heard of that. Looks like wasted ink to me.
  5. Are you talking about factory loads or reloads?
  6. Gun dealers are like other dealers, some will haggle, some won't. I'll make an offer, if they refuse, I'll either pay what they ask, or walk away. I usually just ask, what's your best out the door price, and go from there. I know of no gun show operator that regulates that.
  7. Glad I got to meet you, and chat for a few. I bought a "Blue Book Of Gun Values" I'd been wanting...$25. Didn't think this show was quite as good as the last one in H'ville. Still way ahead of Goodmans shows. BTW, if you have more money than you can count....... LOL Larry
  8. Agree. That's where I used to get my Ala. Ammo, back in the day when the Reloaders Bench made the gun shows in this area. Good store.
  9. R.K. Gun Show this weekend in Hendersonville...90 Volunteer Dr. Last show was good, planning on being there around mid-day.
  10. Well, I'd go for a hat or T-shirt, but think that's already been tried some time ago. Cheap version, we could just go to Wally World, etc. & get some stick on name tags. Gotta be some way to pull this off without breaking the bank. David, any suggestions?
  11. BUMP Just a reminder, RK show is this weekend @ the 'Boro....Oct. 15 & 16. Plan to be there Sat AM myself.
  12. Anyone know if they are still charging for parking at Goodmans show?
  13. I doubt if anyone, except the ACLU ( Communist founded ), really gives a rats butt if he had due process or not. He made his choices, lived & died by them. Keep those drones flying & firing.
  14. Walmart is not one stop shopping for all things gun related, but for what they do have, ammo, & a few accessories, their prices are hard to beat. Get what you can at the best price, then go elsewhere for the rest. True, customer service isn't the best, some stores better than others. Same can be said for the LGS. Bottom line, you have to shop around for prices, etc.
  15. Although Bills shows have gone downhill recently, he did a lot for the gun show business, gun owners and shooters. According to their e-mail, his son David will continue the shows, as he has done the past several years.
  16. I don't know for sure either. I read somewhere, on here maybe, some time back, that it had been moved to October. RKs dates aren't always reliable . Some more digging will be in order to nail it down before I make another trip to a cancelled show. Speaking from experience on more than one occasion.
  17. I didn't either. The wife would likely find a use for it that I wouldn't care for. LOL
  18. I got there around noon. Like everyone else said, no A/C. parking scarce. Good attendance by buyers & dealers. Saw everything from a handgun to a horse collar. Lots of flea mkt. stuff. All in all, a good show. Was looking for some accessory items, found some, at about twice the reg. price. Passed on that. Guess I'll order online. I'll agree with Greg, we need some ID, so we can meet & chat a minute. A little stick-on "Hello, I'm _______" . And, they didn't charge $5 for parking.
  19. I've got one also that was handed down from my Uncle. Actually killed a couple of groundhogs with it at close range ( thru a crack in the shed ), LOL. Found some ammo at a gun show some time ago, just have to look around a bit.
  20. To each his/her own, of course, but I had a Glock22, traded it for the XDm 40 full size. Haven't regretted it, except, wish I had waited for the compact version. Still carry a Glock22 as a duty weapon, Dept. issue. Never tried the M&P, but like the XDm features better. Agreed, I'm not a fan of a grip safety either.
  21. I'll likely make it Sat. AM. Want to see if it lives up to the ad & hype. Be nice if all 850 tables are filled with actual gun related items......for once. Admission for RK is usually $10. Anyone know how much parking they have there?
  22. I went to the Lebanon show Sat. Small as usual, same stuff, flea mkt. items, wood carvings, knives, even had a "few" guns. $7 admission, $1 off coupon if you want to print one off, or find one in the paper.
  23. Independent Conservative. I'll go with whichever fits into that category. Unfortunately, neither usually does.
  24. Gunwalker was one of the most ignorant schemes ever devised. I live for the day when they shut down the BATF. These folks have a history. Melson was "reassigned", not resigned. Atty. Gen Holder should be shipped out as well. The whole DOJ is a disgrace to the laws of the land. JMHO
  25. Yep, you gotta do it. Make sure your gun prints a bit & act nervous. LOL
