Agree, Mike. Sponsors are very hard to come by this season. Danica has both talent & marketability. On the other hand, Trevor Bayne still does not have a full time ride in either Nationwide or Sprint. After his big win at Daytona last year, he was sick for quite a while. I believe that layoff hurt him marketwise. Both got banged up pretty good today. Another wild restrictor plate finish. I hate those things!

The RK show in Murfreesboro is the best one in Mid TN, IMO, but they don't have another show scheduled there until Oct., according to their website.

Ishel, if you're driving from Morristown, probably not worth it. It's stll quite small. I may go just to try to sell a Springfield XDm 40 that I want to sell in order to buy something else. Aside from that, I wouldn't go either. Kens' is usually the biggest dealer there. Plus, I'm only 10 mi or less away.

My Dept. recently installed the Lasermax guide rod laser in our Glock 22s. Haven't heard of any issues yet. I had one in a Glock 22 I had a few yrs ago. Worked OK as long as you don't use a nylon holster. It kept pushing the switch ON & running down the battery. I used the nylon holster between the var seat & console. A good leather or kydex holster will fix that issue. Go for it.

That's the same one I use. Pretty well covers it.

Glad to have NASCAR back to replace football for a while. Like her or hate her, Danica can drive a race car. She's a middle of the pack driver right now, may or may not improve. Lots of guys in the same boat. Carl Edwards is still the man with me. Any of the other Rousch guys.

LOL, DaddyO, I had the same experience yesterday. Wife saw one come chasing a deer across the back yard. Few minutes later, I saw him come trotting back the way he came. First I've seen in the yard, although I've seen tracks. Guess I'm going to have to sharpen up my calling skills ( which don't exist at present ).

Two sides to every story. I'll wait for the final tally. Lot of the fault lies with Walmart for not enforcing their own rule on 20 items. Reason being, as I've been told by Walmart cashiers, they don't want to piss off the customer with the big carts. Ok to tick off everyone else I guess. If you're going to have this rule, enforce it, otherwise take it down, make all lanes the same.

Went to the show this AM. Better show than the last one.IMO. Parking is free, gun to junk ratio about as usual at a show. Worth a reasonable drive. Wouldn't cross any state lines to get there tho. LOL

Anybody that falls for that likely won't make it to the polls anyway without help.

Buy what fits you, what you shoot well, forget the cool factor. Cool won't save your hide. I use a Glock...issued..otherwise wouldn't own another. Just doesn't fit me well...somewhat like a brick as another poster said. If you have access, go to a gun store or range, rent a few & try 'em on. Go from there.

I'll agree, the "tacti-cool" crap has gotten way out of hand. Most will never see actual use, even if it doesn't fall apart. But, I guess, if the wife & kids are getting fed & you've got $$$ burning a hole in your pocket, go for it. Helps the economy, I suppose.

Good to hear. That should help. Last time, the dealers/tables were about half from the initial show. Too many non gun related items...gutter guard, etc.I know somebody has to pay the fiddler, but that's way off the mark. Anyway, enjoy the trip to KC.

It was rather crowded today for a Sunday. Had to wait in line for a while to fondle some guns. Did get to talk to dlm for a few. May take my XDm to Hendersonville next time & see if I can sell it. Got my eye on a Walther PPQ.

Saw the exact same gun today at the gun show with two dealers. Price at one dealer was $549, the other dealer was $659. Also saw one with a ew price tag, that had obvious wear near the extractor. Didn't mention about being used or fired. Buyer beware. Shop around.

There was supposed to be a boat & fishing show there as well. How was the parking? Any room in the lot? Might make it tomorrow if I don't have to walk a mile in the cold.
