  1. i took my 1928 hex from aim out today to see how it would do.i shot standing with barrel resting on a 1x6 rail. distance was 50 yards using surplus ammo.
  2. i but them because you can get some of the older dates and i think they were better made because a war was not going on.they will go up in price because they are harder to come by most of the time.
  3. i like the newlook but the black with white letters is startingb to make my eyes hurt. will be glad when they change
  4. buy bigger than you think you need because you will out grow it. mine is the cannon c33 and weigh 700 lbs empty .i got a very good deal on it when a sporting goods store went out of business a few years ago.it has 12 ga metal and a 1" door with 5 1" locking rods . it would take a while to get into it and even harder to carry off +it has the electronic lock found on atm machines.i think i payed around $700 for it
  5. aim surplus has the hex for $89 and the round for $79 both are in execellent shape. i have allways got great guns from them.got 2 in last week and ordered more today.they have a special on the ammo $67 tin for this friday
  6. i like the early dated one better because the finish on the metal was alittle better before they got in the war.
  7. you cannot read the importer marks because it is to small,both came from aim. it has a box with a slash through it on the stock and barrel.
  8. got these in from aim one is a 43 hex and the other is a 38 dated.
  9. check gunbroker for the mags,aftermarket does not work good even if you found one.7.9 mauser is 8mm. all i shoot is the ww2 surplus. clean with windex at first to kill the salts in the primer than dry it out and clean as normal.

  12. i keep my ar mags loaded and have never had any problems. i do keep my 30 round colt mags loaded with 27-28 because of the springs.
  13. wish mine looked that good. do you know where to look for the info on when they were taken out of service. i would like to find more info on mine.
  14. got my galco king tuk from opticsplanet cheap .just as good as the crossbread and it came in 2 days.
  15. i had acouble of matching bayonets that looked like new.found a buyer that wanted them way more than i did. i did keep my modifed yugo .the germans cut the ring off their captured bayo's and blued over where it was cut.

  20. southern ohio guns will have a big sale in nov ,i have bought alot from them and aim and both are good .
  21. good price.most places get $80 a tin + shipping

  23. i like my sub compact xd40 ,i went to that because the full size got heavy by the end of the day.cost a little more to shoot but i know it will do the job.
