shoot it andthen take it out of the stock and pore about 1 gal of boiling water down the barrel, it will reall make cleaning easier if it still has a dark and dirty bore

i found this one and had to get it.i did clean some with wd 40 to get dirt off.rifle is all matching and is a finnish capture with civil guard distric numbers on the reciever.these rifles were made for russia between 1915 and 1918. .rifle has not been refinished besides the finnish stampes added. when it was captured and issued to civil guards from what i can find out on it.

i keep my cz82 loaded and handy for this but i can all so get my hands on my xd40. if you only have one pistol you should buy another even if it is cheap. just make sure that it will go bang every time it needs to.

i have acouple of them and they are good guns but seem to shoot alittle low. 53 and 54 dated one's are easy to find. i keep looking for a 52 dated pistol.

after 21 years of the army i trust my ar because i know it is clean because i clean it after every use.if you do not ?? after that my vz58 with red dot or mak 90 .for long range my k98 sniper rifle.also keep a few sks's for family.

i have never had a problem with any of mine.do not have a gauge for them yet.but i do check all my 8mm rifles i buy.

chinese if you just want a good one to shoot. $200-$350. any of the others to collect.

i may get into reloading some day,for now i will shoot the surplus.if i want to shoot long i bring out my sniper rifle.i just shoot paper targets now.i gave up hunting a few years ago.

sog has some with the repo scope and mount for $349 and thet shoot great.

the russian will go up more in value than the norinco.i have both and they shoot about the same. norinco will have a chrome barrel the russian will not .chrome one will be easier to clean

bills out post has a nice p1 for $319. i have found a few good deals at pawn shops ,you just have to keep checking in every week.

nice rifle, i put off collecting them for yearsand now i am hooked . i collect k98's and they are getting harder to find at a good price.aim surplus has the ammo on sale this weeken for $67 tin if you need any.i ordered a case because it was so cheap.

no bayonet on it and it poa was almos poi. at 50 yards the front sight post was almost as wide as the target. i gust aimed for the middle of the head and did not take much time doing it.as soon as i had it lined up i shot.if i take to much time now the sights start to fuzz up on me.
