Removing pink grips from a Kimber Micro Carry.

Ensure firearm is empty.

Lay firearm on flat surface.

Remove grip screws.

Remove grip.

Allow safety to rotate forward.

Launch safety plunger and spring somewhere in your office or workspace.

Tell yourself the pink was so bad, it was worth it.

In my defense, I've seen pink done well against satin, even my wife (who loves pink) didn't like shiny, Pepto-bismally shade...

I think I can re finish the grips with some kind of coating for way less than buying and neighbor Dave may locate the originals.

Depending on the material,  it may take a darker rit die like the magpul mags.

I scuffed them up, can't tell what they're made of.

When I was sanding, just a very fine dust.

Clean well, Mix up the dye and drop them in?

Yea, pretty much.  There are a few YouTube vids on doing magpul..well everything out there.

I'm not sure about 1911 parts, but PSA has "replacement spring packs" for those of us who do the same thing with ARs.
