M&P 9c question

My wife is patiently doing the mailbox watch as her permit should arrive in the next couple of weeks. She quilified with my XD45 but wants something smaller to carry.

She shot the XD9SC and liked it. (familiar with my XD) She held a M&P 9c and really liked the way it felt in her hand.

Now the question: I see part numbers for the M&P9C with 10 or 12 round magazines. Will a 10 or 12 round magazine fit in the same gun or are the guns actually different. (I wish they would sell it with one of each.) Can I add some type of Pearce extension to make the 10 round in to a 12 rounder?

GOTCHA!!!!

Springfield accidentally put a neutered mag in with my XD45 Compact. I called them and they sent me the correct 10 rounder.

I don't understand.

10 round and 13 round is standard for that gun.

10 round mag is legal everywhere.

You saying they sent you one that holds LESS than 10 rounds initially?

Well maybe it was one of those medical mess ups where instead of neutering they add a couple inches instead... :D
