When my kids asked me to take them somewhere, I blared embarrassing and they eventually quit asking. If had a weinermobile it would have happened much quicker.

I'd have to figure out a way to force Google Maps or Waze to always include a tunnel in the route.  Because my inner child is twelve years old. 😁

✅ Thompson Lane - Nashville

✅ Murfreesboro Road near the Airport - Nashville

I switched from sales to HVAC in my 40s. It was tough getting started, but hands-on work keeps me active and I sleep better at night knowing I did something useful.

Spent a good chunk of my life in LE, then a few as a codes inspector. Also did an enlistment in the Marines. Went back to school in mid 30s and got a degree in cybersecurity. Will probably have to change careers again when AI takes my job ha.

I didnt change careers older in lifer, but at 31 when I went from working outside driving trucks and a crane operator, to getting hired on the big city fire department near me. However, 31 was old to get hired for that job. Most of the guys hired with me were early 20's. But it was the best move I ever made.

Yes several times. I am 64 and retired and still do not know what I want to do for a living. I was in the grocery business for 14 years. The last 7 was with the largest wholesale grocery company in the world. (19 billion a year in sales) After leading my department in sales for all 7 years I was the 1st one to get laid off when the ship started sinking. (they are not longer in business). I decided then and there if I was going to do something I would do it for myself. I bought a advertising business that I sold after 6 years and then started a business from scratch. Sold that after 21 years. What allowed us to do that was because we could live off 1 income when needed. No car payments and paying off CC each month.  I enjoyed the benefits of self employment but its not for everyone. If i could go back in time I would sell insurance. Its something everyone has to have and you get paid residual income.

My missus and I both spent 26 years in the military. All that traveling was fun but I'd had enough. I was always good with woodworking so I became a trim carpenter and did that for nearly 20 more years. Never went without work. The missus went back to school at MTSU and got her degree in Business. She worked for State Farm  until she retired last year. So it can be done but brother it ain't easy...especially for a simple man like myself.
