Rutherford Co. FFL burglarized ?

Recommended Posts

I got a call today from a Washington D.C. number. Let it go to voicemail and this is the transcription from the robocall voice :

”This is an important message from the bureau of alcohol tobacco firearms and explosives there was a burglary at a federal firearms licensee premise in Rutherford county TN please ensure the security of both your inventory and property and report all suspicious persons or activity to your local police department additionally notify ATF at 888-3675762 if you find any of your firearms missing lost or stolen thank you goodbye…”

I have a C&R license so it’s possible they’d notify me, but I’ve had it for years and never been contacted when several LGSes have been burglarized. Maybe it was another C&R holder? A quick google search of the number that called me suggests it’s legit

I saw nothing on the local news sites about any gun shops being burglarized.

Did anybody else get a call like this?

I've gotten them a handful of times, also FFL03. I've been getting notices for NICS and form changes, so these don't appear to be specific to FFL type.

I didn't get the one referred to so I assume they have a radius that I fell out of. iirc the last heist notice I got was for a FFL1's shop.
