I have a Performace Center limited edition 4006.. dude.. i have wear marks all over it from dryfiring and practicing on my draw.. but i love the pistol and would never give it up.. it just fits my hands so well.. and i like the way it shoots.. even with blazer brass .40.. it shoots pretty darn good.

Well, a holster that covers the barrel would seem to stop that, eh?

On the other hand, a carry gun is not a safe queen gun.

But on the third hand, seems as your specific wear issue could be solved with a different holster.

Wear marks? What are those? You aren't talking about all that character on the finish of the slide? :hiding:

Well, when some folks looks at a gun with scratches, dimples, dull they say "well it has character "However I wouldn't say that a woman that has scratches, dimples, and a marred finnish has character.Id say its time to stick her back in the closet!

When my gun starts b****ing about it's character I'll agree with you.

Any carry gun is going to eventually show some wear. It is a tool, use it and carry it with that in mind. I do not abuse or neglect any of my firearms, especially ones that are used for serious social purposes. I don't mind signs of honest use. I'm a bit suspicious of anyone's ability and commitment who has a "carry piece" that is too pristine. Clean, properly lubricated, for sure, but LNIB... no way.

I have a Taurus PT111 Millennium Pro that started showing holster wear after about a month.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If it gets so bad you can't stand it anymore, you can always have it reblued.
