Rifles like the AR with the mechanical style of an AK

Hello! I wanted to ask around and gain some info. I’ve been looking into different rifle platforms. I am a big AK fan however like the look of a standard AR-15. I’ve looked into older Swiss rifles like the SG552. With this, I want to ask if anyone can point me into the direction of different rifles like that. With these recommendations, I will want to look into  these and get one. Thank you!

Are you talking about the AK’s operating system?  There are ARs that are piston driven like an AK.

Yessir, that’d be what I meant. What rifles/platforms work like that?

The short version:  I don't know, lol.  I've never had much interest in them.  Regarding ARs, there are several manufacturers who make them and some people convert gas-impingement guns.  A friend recently used one of these kits in a failed attempt to mitigate some suppressor-induced gassy face:

The IWI Galil seems to fit what you are looking for.

I gotca! I do appreciate the comment though! I’ve heard of the piston mod so maybe I should look into that and go from there! Thank buddy!

I see, completely forgot about the Galil. In that case I will put my focus on that, M1A, and the FAL. I’m not sure what the market is like for them but will do more research. Thank you!
