"Violence is rarely the answer, but when it is, it's the only answer."

I don't remember the book but it's a true statement.

The man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger followed.

That was the first "grown-up" book series I read as a teenager. I mowed a lot of yards to buy the full size plume editions with the full-color illustrations.

Too bad these persons that are in charge of schools and other activities where large groups of people are gathered do not realize how true Tim Larkin's statement is. When someone intent on thrusting violence on any subjects, only like kind of violence will stop them. May I say that someone who is there to stops that hater must be on site to stop the perpetrator of the crime "immediately." The police are minutes away and someone can do a lot of damage in those few minutes as we all know.

I wish they would arm teachers that volunteer and are "well" trained. My daughters went to school with a x -Marine who carried at school every day he was there. He was the vice principal, and the principal knew he carried. The principal was a veteran also. They were a team to protect our kids. Now they would remove and prosecute a teacher that did that. Just my opinions guys. Those two veterans are long retired now.

I am glad to see Nashville installed the bumper guards along the sidewalks in lower broad street to keep someone from driving down the sidewalk and mowing down visitors to that city. Hope they are well thought out and effective. At least seems to me they are trying to combat what has happened in other cities like New Orleans recently.

The Govenor passed a bill allowing teachers to carry but communities in TN will not allow teachers to carry. Several states have and their schools have been safe so far. I know nothing is fool proof but there is a deterrent effect that would go along with knowing teachers and other armed security was present and on site.

Well just my morning rant guys.

Edited to add; Tim has a series of 3 books on this subject. I have all three coming. Got one yesterday.
