My new evil black rifle

As I posted in another thread I have needed an evil black rifle in .308. Joe (Hero-Gear) told me he had a couple and I decided to drive down to take a look. I did not intend to buy today (funny how that happens isn’t it?). I wanted to check-out his place anyway.

When I first arrived I was surprised at the selection he has. He has something for everyone.

When I went into the gun room it was kinda crowded in there. But as soon as I started wielding a .308 Panther around like I had never handled a rifle in my life and asking Joe if he had any loaded magazines; it emptied out quickly.

I really wanted the TAC20, but since the delivery would be so long Joe put the DPMS Panther LR-308AP4 in my hands. It is sweet.

Joe is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. It was refreshing to talk with a gun dealer that truly seemed to be interested in customer support. Since I moved to Tennessee I had not found a dealer that seemed to care if he got my business or not; that changed.

Joe explained to me that I really needed this weapon. When I told him to give me a reason to buy it today, he said that since I hadn’t pizzed off any forum members this week he would give me the TGO discount. I feel that I got a fair price and Joe made enough to stay in business. :D

Well enough about me and Joe. Here is what I got. If it shoots as good as it looks and feels I will be happy.

Man... if you had asked me why you needed a .308 I'd have taken it from you and put it back on the wall. That's one of those DUH questions that falls into the "If you have to ask" category. :D:)

I'm lucky. I managed to get out of there yesterday without asking that same question. Otherwise we'd both be posting about new evil black rifles today.

Awesome rifle, and congrats on the purchase!

Very sweet... definitely give us a range report soon... which requires the question of why you're here posting photos and not out shooting the thing and THEN posting photos. :D

I've actually just finished planning out my "evil black rifle" build... and fixing to enter the buying phase. Sigh. Looking at a $2,648 price list... not including another $300-700 for whatever optics I decide to stick ontop of the beast. Even living here in Virginia currently, I'll be going through Joe to purchase the pieces if he can acquire them. He told me that if I can think it up, he can source the parts and build it. We'll see. :)

Oh I wasn't hinting at anything diabolical... I'm just saying. The only reason you need is that every American male needs as many EBRs as possible. :)

It's funny... Hornet asked a similar question about his new 1911. The answer I gave him was rife with references to how emasculated he was without a 1911. :D

My wife said since I bought that rifle she’s going to Tunica. If she does well maybe I can get that.

Oh yea…. I think she hates you.
