While I know it may be a veeeeery long shot on a gun owners forum, I promised my friend that I would try to sell her warcraft account for her. Now before I get all kinda things like "you need benefactor" etc, this is not an ad to sell; my friend told me she would pay for my status if there was anyone interested enough...and that's when she would type out all the particulars. Like I said, this is not the ad...just wondering if anyone would be interested in such a thing. Anyone...? lol

i dont know why anyone would pay $400-$1000 or more for a game account but i see it all the time.

I played for a little while back when i was working the night shift... couldnt go to sleep and ended up playing for a few hours.

Got offers from friends for $300 for my old account... i thought, GEEZ, that's a Ruger P95 ;)

I still have it though. Who knows maybe we'll start our own little wow account sales section :/

Back a few years ago you could get $1000 or more for a loaded account. Now it seems like the price has gone way down. Almost better off looking to Craigslist rather than here ;)

People pay for the account due to the level of the characters associated with the account. Some people would rather spend $$$ for someone elses character than spend the time leveling their own characters.

Course...seasoned players can spot these newbs a mile away, hehe.

I have a 80 Druid and a 74 Paladin...days of my life lost.

She has an 80 druid with a tree and bear epic set. Along with an 80 rogue, full epic pve and pvp set. A 73 prot warrior with almost a whole crafted epic set for 80. Also a mage, lock, and shaman all 60+.

Indeed, it takes hundreds (if not thousands) of hours to get all the "items and gear" to make a good character. That being the case, at 1,000 hours play time and $500 spent to buy the account, you're basically paying $.50 per hour played (thus saving you 1,000 hours of your life)

Not a bad deal if you look at it that way.

Bad deal if you realize you're buying a virtual character who in no way adds value to your retirement plan, assets etc.

I don't play it. I just make fun of my brother who plays it. I like girls and sunlight.

You must not be a vampire then. That is sign #1 that you wouldn't fit in to the World of Warcraft.

What??? War Craft doesn't have a retirement plan...boy is my 26yr old son...aka the Attic Gnome gonna be pissed. Hmmm that must be why he's working some part time IT gig at a Las Vegas casino
