Wish I could go Friday.

I don't get off work till 7:00 Friday morning....no way I could make it to Nashville by 9:00 and last time had to be in the courtroom nearly 2 hours before the hearing just to get a seat.

This one has gotten NO PRESS since the date of my original post. I doubt there will be a crowd. I'm at a loss what to think about the press, the media and especially the Tennessean's total lock down on this hearing. It's like this Cheek guy has put a complete gag order out. Not even a peep out of the publicity whores like Dread and Rayburn.

I'm really concerned about this. Considering we have an attorney general who thinks regardless of the wording of the law, local parks don't have to post and that apartments can ban even HCP holding residents from having guns, a Chancellor who's husband is a raving liberal and a very politically connected alcohol industry hot shot attorney against us. This could go terribly wrong.

Hopefully Bonneyman will throw it out on it's face.

Did anyone get the results of this today?

I haven't found so much as a peep about it. I looked on the Chancery Court's docket today. They have 4 parts, it wasn't listed on parts 1, 3 or 4. Part 2 was just missing on the website. I don't know what to think at this point?

Maybe Cheek realized he had no case and pulled the motion? Maybe this is all happening behind closed doors? I find it hard to believe Rayburn, Dread et al just folded their tents and skulked off into the night. Would be nice though.

I'm sure that if they had set aside the law today that it would be all over the news so maybe this is a good sign. I guess that we are still good to carry just as we have been doing since July.

Yep, this is definitely a case of "no news is good news". I'd just like to stop feeling like we're waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Can someone explain the argument they are going to use to try and overturn the law? I don't get it as owners can choose to ban guns on their premises if they so choose...

They don't want to have to post. They want it banned everywhere so it takes the decision out of their hands.

I'm anxiously awaiting any news on this. There is nothing on Google. Local news is silent.

Wish I could be there!

I second that. I sure wish I could find out some updates.
