A 54R AK?

Gotta say, that's a new one for me!

Anybody have one? What's the kick like from one?

Not really an AK guy and don't really pay much attention to them.

I'd like to have one of these, though..if only it had a shorter barrel size

I shot a fellow TGOer's the other day. It's a blast!

The recoil is just a bit more that 7.62x39 but not much. Would get one but I'd burn through the free-world's supply of x54r with a quickness.

I like the Cetme .308 and of course the Spanish Bazooka. Can you imagine the look on the face of the guy that shows up to take your daughter out on a date and you are cleaning your Bazooka.

Yeah, was thinking I held one at a gun store in Maryville about a year ago (before the elections) and it was around $650 to $750. It was nice. It did have the old commie scope on it.

Is an old commie scope worth that much?

1st off Ak's are awesome, start paying attention!

2nd this on is the "sniper version" so you can bust a contact at between 50 and 75 yards. Seriously, I don't know what the range is on them but the barrel is pretty long for that reason. Then again I suppose that's why God made hacksaws.

To get the accuracy out of one of those you need to find the Czech silver tip ammo. The AP ammo makes those shine in the accuracy department.

I've got one. Its actually my second. I bought one a few years ago, but sold it because at the price I paid at the time, to deck it out like I would have wanted to, I could have just bought an AR10. I bought one from Centerfire Systems recently without a scope for a steal, and decked it out with a 1P21 Russian sniper scope.

Its just a ton of fun to shoot. Ammo is still reasonable, and the Czech ammo is available. Its not really considered to be a sniper weapon, but a "Designated Marksman" rifle. Range of 6-800 meters. Good guns, and there are enough of them in the country now, there are some aftermarket parts coming available.
