At long last, here's the trailer for HBO's "The Pacific," the long-awaited follow-up to Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg's beloved WWII war epic "Band of Brothers." ... "I believe in ammunition!"

The only reason I have HBO is becasue I signed up for it in 2001 when Band of Brothers was released. I've since purchaed the disc set and between History and Spike reruns and the disc set I've probably seen it a dozen time. I've also read the book.

I got to go the National WWII museum last year. It covers per and post WWII and all of the major battles and theaters of operation. I also has a lot of reference to Dick Winters and the 101st. It's worth the trip.

I look forward to the release of The Pacific.

Wikipedia says filming began in Australia in 2007 and the release date is March 14, 2010.

Funny thing about Hanks. After he did "Ryan" he said the violence of it made him wish that no one would ever get shot again, anywhere. I was afraid he would turn anti, but after "Ryan" he did Green Mile, BOB, Road to Perdition. Good to see we didn't lose him to the dark side.
