Thjat looks a tad different than mine...mine is the USG. Mine can be carried decocked and on safe or cocked and locked. Mine came with one 15 rd mag and 2 14 round mags. I love mine and I bet you will yours too. Shooots anything with no problems and accurate as I am too.

pretty good lookin "Roscoe" there. Nice that it comes with spare mags. You will not be disappointed with FN.

Glad you found one. Prepare to fall in love with the best polymer framed .45 on the market. I consider mine my combat handgun and would have to be highly motivated to ever sell it. It's accurate, light, has a great grip, and 14-15 rounds in the mag....."Oh your 1911 is out of ammo already....so sorry to hear that"...lol

I have the USG Dark Earth one which is just personal preference. I run the Federal .45 in the maroon box from Wally World. Several people say the Winchester won't feed right. The federal has been 100% for me and it's a little cheaper anyway!

It should come with 2 14 rounders and a 15 round mag. It appears you have another 14 rounder in the gun, meaning you might have gotten 3 14 rounders instead.

Well, the FNP-45 is accurate, no question. However, both of my 1911s (Wilson CQB and Nighthawk T3), will blow away the FNP-45 from the standpoint of accuracy. So, I don't think I would ever be in the situation of running out of ammo, at least I hope not. :D

Congrats Archminister. I hope you really like it. The FNP-45 was the second handgun I ever bought. It is a great gun. I think the FNP-45 is one of the better deals on the market. I was contemplating on selling my FNP-45, due to not having a need for it. However, after shooting it again the other day, I think I am gonna keep it.

Thanks All! I am pretty stoked. This by far the easiest weapon I have ever broken down a cleaned. I could have gotten the USG but I do not carry cocked and locked anymore. I will hopefully be getting out to the range in the next few days. I used to carry a Glock as my duty weapon and it is a fine handgun. This is the first polymer frame weapon that I have owned. I will post after I take ti out for its inaugural run. Will have pics also if they are worthy and I have not lost my touch. It has been awhile since I have been shooting with any regularity.

On another note do any of you shoot competitively? I am curious about it and am thinking about getting in to it as a new hobby. Please let me know if so. Thanks for the rousing support!

Oh..one quick note on ammo or lack there of...Most handgun fights take place less than 20 yards apart and usually less than 8 rounds are fired if one fo the shooters is worth there salt and has trained in serious stress shooting. So mav, those 1911's will do you just fine. That being said, I like having as much or more ammo than i may need...(cheesy grin)
