I am going to build another AR. And I have narrowed it down to either doing a MK18 Mod 0 or a MK18 Mod 1 clone. The major differences are the rail sytem and the sights. I am going to be using a KAC lower and LMT SOPMOD stock and either a EOTech or Aimpoint sight.

Lower I'm going to use.

I'm pretty sure the Mod 1 has never even been confirmed to exist as an official designation apart from internet speculation. That being said, my own Mod-1-inspired upper should be here this week or next...lol. It won't be a true clone, because I like my specs better.

-10.3" Daniel Defense CHF bbl

-DD mil-spec upper receiver

-DD RIS-II Mk18 rail

-DD full-auto BCG

-Centurion Arms HK-style BUIS

-BCM Gunfighter Mod 4 charging handle

-BattleComp 1.0 muzzle brake

-Aimpoint H1 on LaRue mount

-Surefire X300

-Gear Sector hand stops at 6:00 and 9:00

-Magpul XTM panels and/or LaRue index clips

It's going to sit on my Noveske SBR lower until my stamp for my new "special" SBR lower comes back. When it does, it'll sport a Magpul MIAD grip, a Noveske QD endplate, and either a CTR or ACS stock (don't care much for the SOPMOD). I'll be topping it all off with a Gear Sector single-point sling.

If you're not already aware of the smokin' hot deals you can get on DD uppers (including the Mk18), shoot me a PM, and I'll pass along the info. :tough:
