Reminds me of the time I saw the guy driving a car with box springs on top. He didn't have a rope though, he was holding them with one arm out the window. Yee haw.

Probably was me.

Now that one above must have roots in Oklahoma. B)

I worked as a Delivery Driver for a local mattress company in Clarksville for 2 summers. You wouldn't believe the number of times people wanted their $1000+ beds strapped to the roof of their Ford Taurus or other equally inappropriate mattress mover. They would do anything to get out of our $50 delivery/setup/removal fee which would often be waived in order to make a sale. Of course, we would tie it on top of their sedan with kite string and send them on their way but only after pointing out our sign saying we are not responsible for anything that happens on the drive home.

My buddy had a 1987 mercury cougar when he lived in Athens, we had to help his mother in law move so me and him put a 6 foot couch on top of the mercury and strapped it down. We were driving around athens with it on the top of the car and people looking at us. My buddy did a burn out with the couch on top of the car LOL. Oh the ignorant and stupid things I used to do when I was younger LOL

that is the way to go. I had a truck when I brought my last bed however the bed of the truck was pretty dirty and I did not want to have to carry it in my house either by myself. ( my wife would have watched)

So I ask for a free delievery to seal the deal, they ask how far I lived I said about 3 miles and they said done. win win
