Fifth - They are tired of the way GWB and the Republicans have handled the country.

because she is a woman should be at-least 1,2,3

Just my 2 cents but I think all the people are voting for her because she appeals to them. Why does she appeal to them? Look at the demographics of her supporters...I saw a blurb this morning showing that the majority of women over the age of 45 are voting for her, as well as large numbers of hispanics. She appeals to these people because she tells them what they want to hear. They want to hear that the government will take care of all their needs and that if they vote for her she will provide them with everything, Same with Obama, he spouts on and on about "change" but it's the same song. His message is that the government will provide.

Sadly most of the candidates (at least the ones that have a chance to win) say the same crap. It is amazing how much the federal government has expanded in the past 20 years, even under Bush whom allegedly is a conservative.

I am guessing that a lot of woman vote for her because of chomosomes they have in common. My wife does not follow politics even a little bit and I know she voted for hillary just because she is a female. My trying to educate her falls on deaf ears and it is not worth the turmoil.

I am female and I just want to make it loud and clear that Hillary and I have NOTHING at all in common. Not one single thing. And if we did, I'd shoot myself! Why grown women would fall for her BS is beyond me.

Sorry ya'll. I had a spell. It happens when I don't have nicotine. a3lapx.jpg

I find it hard to believe that someone would vote for just because she is a woman.

Thats exactly my point. How could you justify voting that way??

I typically avoid all threads political and I've said too much already, so I'm zipping it up now.

We have more "have-nots" that are dependant or expectant on the system than "haves" at this point. You see the results of this in the presidential primary race and it's greatly exacerbated by what Bush II has done in the last 8 years. Redistribution of wealth is the primary issue for most voters and the one who promises the most gets the nod.

I'm pretty sure that's why property owners got to vote when we started down this road...but as the dollar drops it looks like we're closing quickly on the end of the road.

It happens all the time, uneducated people and people that are not willing to gather the facts themselves and do what the "leaders of their community" tell them to do, do this type of thing all the time. Sen. Ophelia Ford here in Memphis is an example.

I find it hard to believe that someone would vote for just because she is a woman. If anything, I would think that would hurt her case. But then again, I'm reminded of all the stupid people out there. If Hillary gets elected, I'm packin up the dogs and moving to Canada.

Just don't forget to hand over your guns at the border and be prepared for much higher taxes, lower standards of health care, less freedom, and greater unemployment. The government is the biggest employer in Canada and they have unions for everything (including pan handlers.)

Thanks for playing, but why don't we all just move to Montana and secede from the nation?

I am assuming you say this in jest? Is it even possible for a ticket as you mentioned?

It is possible, depending on how the 22nd Amendment was interpreted:

Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Section 2. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years from the date of its submission to the States by the Congress.

This says to me that depending on what 'elected' means, Bill could potentially serve as president for 1 year, 11 months and 29 days in the event of Hillary's demise.

The conflict would be with the 12th Amendment:

The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and all persons voted for as Vice-President and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate;

The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted;

The person having the greatest Number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. And if the House of Representatives shall not choose a President whenever the right of choice shall devolve upon them, before the fourth day of March next following, then the Vice-President shall act as President, as in the case of the death or other constitutional disability of the President.

The person having the greatest number of votes as Vice-President, shall be the Vice-President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed, and if no person have a majority, then from the two highest numbers on the list, the Senate shall choose the Vice-President; a quorum for the purpose shall consist of two-thirds of the whole number of Senators, and a majority of the whole number shall be necessary to a choice. But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.
