... our new baby boy who was born this morning. Have had just one hour of sleep since yesterday morning so I'm very tired but mom and baby are very well and that's what is important.

My 2 year old son wasn't quite sure what to think. He was more interested in all of the cabinet doors he could open and close in the hospital room than he was in the new baby. I think it will hit him on Saturday when the FOUR of us are at home (he's with family until then). He'll probably think, "FOUR, what the hell? We are THREE! Who is this and why is he messing up the dynamic?"

And to tie this whole thing to guns, now that the baby is here my wife is going to let me start training her with a handgun! After we all get a lot of rest, of course.

First off, congratulations on the newest arrival. They just grow up to dang fast.

My wife said the same thing. She feels a need to be able to self protect now when I am not around. Not that she didn't before (I have a 6 yr. old from a previous donor), but having a child of your own just changes your entire out look on life. All the "stuff" that you felt was so important before, doesn't mean chit now!
