Back home in TN, new to Mt. Juliet.

Recommended Posts

Retired from the Army (Infantry) in 2010 and went back to school in NY to get my degree. (That is where I was when I retired) Finally back in free America! I carry a Walther PPQ M2 9mm and own a "work in progress" Remington 870. I generally shoot at Nashville Armory or the Stones River Hunter's safety range in Antioch.
I really want to find a place that will let me practice my draw and move around a little, drill, etc... Reccomendations are welcome.

Thanks Itchy, I have been dry practicing a lot and need to add some live fire to it. I'll look into some nearby IDPA events.

Hello Mr. Doobie, you can check the MCTS website. We would love to have you at the club and we do have a team that can assist/help you in anyway. Looking forward to see you at the range on Feb. 1 (Saturday - if your schedule permits) for an IDPA match  !

Have a good one  .

Welcome!  I've been looking at the PPQ M2 myself lately so I'd  love to hear your thoughts on it.

Thanks guys! David, the PPQ M2 fits my hand really nicely. The bore axis is a little higher than say a Glock, but the design of the grip and the ability to get a solid hold negates any muzzle flip that may cause. The trigger is very nice and has an incredibly short but distinct reset. I do need to get some night sights soon, but overall I'm very happy with it. Hershmeister, does one need to be a member of the club to participate? KaNaPaPi, did my combat tours with the 101st and retired from West Point. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
