In controlled tests with .357 law enforcement loads, the 10 mm used by the FBI, and other hollow points, MagSafe .380 ACP beat 'em all! Fragments to penetrate... so it's safer, without ricochets. Handcrafted to precise specs, making it accurate and reliable.

MagSafe Ammo is faster, recoils less, and stops attackers faster than any other ammunition in the world. Elite forces are outfitted with MagSafe, from Navy SEALS to the Royal Hong Kong Police anti-gang units, from big-city undercover narcs to guards at some of America's meanest prisons. The reason is simple. MagSafe works. You really can turn your .380 into .45 auto.

Magsafe has been around a long time, The bullet is filled with plated bird shot similar to the Glaser Safety slug the velocity is as high as double the normal velocity of the given caliber( I think the 45 round I have is adv. as 2,200 fps!). Wound channel is large although not as deep. The one shot stop probabilities from Ed Sanow were quite impressive. They are however incredably expensive , sometime as much as 20.00 for 6 rounds.

If its for carry I would stay away from the boutique ammo makers that make claims of causing internal wounds that leave mushroom clouds over them. I'd stick to something that has been thoroughly tested and proven. IMHO the boutique manufactures don't have the same quality control that the big 3 have...(ATK, Winchester, Remington.)

Ya um...I don't think you can change physics with marketing.

I think you'll find that biggest prob with .380 is lack of penetration, and that multiple hits with FMJ is your friend in that caliber.

A big messy but shallow wound ain't gonna stop no bad guys.

So is this the same for Corbon DPX in .380? A co worker was telling me that he bought some 9mm in DPX was penetrating through a car window, through the opposite door, and into a tree behind it. Which lead him to believe that it would over penetrate. So I was wondering if DPX out of my KT would fit the bill.

Over penetration shouldn't be worrisome! As long as you reach the organs, you are good to go.

The penetration through windows, and doors are not like flesh. The hollow in the hollow point fill with flesh causing it to expand. If there is no flesh, there is no expansion(well not much anyway).

I would be more concerned with having bonded HP's.BHP's have the jacket fussed to the core preventing separation, and increasing final weight of the bullet.

Another thing, car doors are made of thin medal.A screwdriver will penetrate a door skin easily, and the car windows are designed to shatter on impact.Comparing the results from shooting a car with a human is kinda silly
