UNVEILED : New look and feel for TGO

Recommended Posts

I liked the blue better. It helped me distinguish between post better.

Sorry. Can't please everyone. :owned:

Is there a way to get the Smiles pop up to a readable size?!

Yep. Done. See, one out of two isn't so bad is it? :stick:

I've given it a couple of days before saying anything and I'm still debating (with myself) whether or not I like it. As of right now, I'm leaning more toward the old look. The new look isn't BAD, but for some reason, it's making my eyes bug out a lot quicker. I use to be able to sit here for a couple of hours, so that probably isn't a bad thing ......and to me, it has the "feel" of a lot of other boards. The old look felt unique to TGO only to me.

Just my thoughts. Their only worth their weight in dung though.

Is it just me or does the new logo look like the rear of a pistol slide with the cocking serrations reversed and the back half of a kydex holster sticking out of the rear of the slide?

:screwy:

It's just you.

It's a 1911 slide (no holster) that the muzzle end is stretched to span the top of the header. And the serrations are normal... not reversed. The graphic actually started out as an SA Operator 1911, and then edited in Adobe PS.

I've noticed something, at the bottom right of a topic page , when you go to click the "GO" button in the "Forum Jump" area, the mouse pointer turns into a pointer that is used in text (looks kinda like an "I") applcations instead of the "directional pointer " It changes when you go below the "Go" button and the the Forum Jump box itself. Not a great big deal, but I use that button a lot and I will go down to hit the Go and loose my pointer for a moment.

That's not happening for me on Firefox (mac or PC). It does happen with MSIE 8.0 Beta but I think it has something to do with Winblows Search.

Does not do it for me at work (IE 6 on Windows 2000) or at home (IE 7 on Windows XP)

:D

J/K. I'm using Windows XP Professional. It also goes to the text pointer one when I go to the grey side borders, grey border around the top under the slide, and the most of the bottom grey part. Maybe my mouse Fails at pointing.:(

I had something weird happen yesterday!

I clicked on the next page link in a thread using my middle mouse button so the page would already be loaded when I finished the page I was on,and it sent me to TSP.

I exited from TSP,and tried it again but it wouldn't do it.

I dunno,I guess its like they say in science. If you can not repeat the problem,it didn't happen...
