I've never measured lifespan of various night sights but I've tried them all. Trijicon have 12 year guarantee on illumination which is not too bad, and they will recharge or "relamp" a set for about half the retail price of a new set and then the guarantee starts all over again. Not sure what Glock would guarantee but probably nothing beyond their standard pistol warranty term, likely less than Trijicon term. In my experience they all start to look a little dim after 5-7 years, and even when they glow strong the dots are pretty small such that daylight sight acquisition suffers, thus I prefer to go with standard sights on most of my guns except the dedicated bedroom pistol. And for a dedicated low light shooter, a bright weapon light and/or laser is probably best anyway.

I just got Glock factory sights on my 26 & 19 and have trijicons on a 30. The factory glock sights look very similar to meprolights. I actually like the design better than the trijicons. They sights are filled in with a clear compound that prevents dust and dirt from accumulating in the sights cup. Glock factory told me they had a 10 year warranty. I also liked that they were only $57.00 installed. I'm pleased and would get them again. Edited by fredtheredfrog
