Disappointed in Midway USA ammo P&H costs

Recommended Posts

This AM, received email notice of arrival of long, long backordered bulk Rem Thunderbolt 22LR - 500 rnds for 20.99. However, between order placement last Nov and now, shipping and handling has increased. For this one item, they want $15.79 for shipping plus a $3.00 special handling fee. I think not. So much for a few moments of happiness before I saw new details and hit "cancel."

I am more pissed since they went to the way they ship stuff now. Starts out ups and ends up usps what a crock. I hate dealing with the usps.

UPS Sure Post, but ammo doesn't get sent that way, it's UPS or Fedex ground all the way.

I'm not wild about that Sure Post deal that Midway is now using.

Seems to add 2 to 3 days to every order.  My order gets to Tennessee in 2 days and then spends another 2 to 3 days as it is transferred between UPS and the USPS.

Use to be I could place an order on Sunday night and the Big Brown Truck would be dropping off my stuff mid-day Tuesday.

And dropping the dealer discount for daily email spam deals is sort of used car sales tactics to me.

Brownells gets most of my money now.
