I have the Glock 17 (9mm) & 27 (40 SW). I have read the reasons why you cant shoot reloads on the 40 SW glock but does anyone have a suggestion for an aftermarket barrel for my Glock 27? And does anyone have one for sale? Let me know what you guys think on the after market barrels, I'd like your ideas before I buy one.

Lonewolf makes really good barrels... if you can tolerate their cheesy logo that they put on their barrels.

Storm Lake also makes top quality barrels, and they don't have visible logos. They would be my personal preference.

You can't go wrong with either, and can get stock or extended/threaded lengths from both.

:screwy:That lone wolf logo is somethin else....

Yeah, it's pretty bad. Just when you think a Glock can't get any uglier... someone sticks one of their barrels in it. :D

For an extra $10 you can order a Lone Wolf barrel without the logo. But what would be the fun in that?

That's good info. But it's almost like paying the dealership to leave their advertising sticker off of your new car, isn't it. :D

I was reading on GT the other night about reloading and the issues with "kabooms" and the concensus seemed to be that the majority of them were from inferior loads. I own a G27 that I carry daily and have considered another conversion barrel as well. I do own a Bar-Sto for my Sig 229 and can't say enough good things about the product...not really sure if they manf something for the G27 though. There was a .357 barrel posted on GT for around $90 yesterday but most of the barrels posted on the site go very quickly. GT is a great resource regarding the reloads and possible issues you may encounter...

I have shot over 2,500 reloads thru a stock Glock 27 with no problems. Why can't you shoot reloads thru your stock barrel?

The unsupported chamber causes the brass to bulge upon firing (especially in the higher pressure rounds such as the .40S&W). A lot of people won't shoot or reload "glock fired brass" due to this reason, stating the integrity of the brass has been compromised.
