Anywhere in Franklin to rent a workbench and vise?

Recommended Posts

I'm building an AR-15 and having trouble with timing the flash hider due to a lack of appropriate vise to hold the upper.  Is there anywhere in the area I can go to use a bench vise for five minutes or so?  I've already called around to all the gunsmiths in the area that I know of and they'd take a week to get to it, but I was hoping to take the rifle out sooner than that.

If I can't find anywhere with a bench vise I may just order some peel washers to replace the crush washer.

And before anyone asks, the upper was a Aero Precision M4E1, so I didn't have to time the barrel nut and was able to get by without a proper vise.

Thanks.

Edit: I'm more towards Cool Springs than Franklin, if that helps.

I can likely help you out tomorrow afternoon or one evening later this week.

I may take you up on that.  I was able to get the flash hider in oriented almost right with a combination of sanding down the washer and some elbow grease and it should be good enough to take to the range tomorrow for punching paper and sighting in, but it would be nice to get it turned those last few degrees.  PM me your info and we'll see if we can set something up.

Thanks.
