I finally got my kydex pocket holster for my Glock 43 (Alabama Holster Co).  I have carried in my front pocket (shorts) for two days and it was very comfortable...didn't even think about it being there.  Standing, sitting and driving in the car...no issues.  For several years I pocket-carried my S&W 642 revolver and this is approximately the same size (maybe thinner) and it holds more ammo.  So...I really think I am going to prefer this little Glock 43 for front pocket carry. I think I'll keep the 642 in rotation from time-to-time, but the Glock 43 is now in the starting line-up for front pocket carry.

Some folks have stated concerns that the G43 is too big for pocket carry.  I have not found that to be the case at all.  If you have any concerns, go to a gun store and ask if they will let you try it (as I did).  It is a little longer than a PM9 (I have tried the PM9 and it is a reliable gun)...but again, if you ever pocket-carried the little S&W revolvers you will lover the G43.  Very cool and reliable little gun.

Best Wishes, B

Oh Shoot, as I said the CM9 is a good gun. Point is the Glock 43 is very easy for me to pocket carry. So is the 642...

I'm pretty big guy, but I swear, anything bigger than the Kahr is too big for me in the pocket and besides, J frame bugs me for being too fat, and no sense to me to carry 2 fewer rounds in even same size heater in the first place.

I'm a small guy. The Kahr PM9 is about as big as I would go for pocket carry. Any bigger and the weight plus size would be a bit uncomfortable for me to pocket carry.

If weight is no issue and a 6 and a quarter inch long gun is not too big for you, you could consider the Taurus G2 Millenium. The G2 has gotten outstanding reviews and can be purchased for $199 (on sale right now, I think, at Kentucky Gun Co. Not sure. I'd have to check my emails.) It has an adequate sized safety compared to the tiny safety on the Shield. I like the way it fits my hand and the safety is definitive on/off. (I want the safety to be hard and loud enough to be felt and heard... YMMV). Sometimes I carry the Taurus 709 because it's lighter and thinner, but the feel and safety are the same as the G2.

Ruger lc9s is a good option, single stack, 6-7 reds with safety, I like the trigger the best, the walther CCP is nice too.

I also own g43, shield 9, sig 938, beretta nano, xds9, and kahr p9 c safety, and sccy (cheap pos)... I think you'll have to try and see yourself at the range. I tried so hard to like the shield, kahr, sig, and glock over the ruger, but just didn't shoot as well with them Edited by Darnluck
